It seems to be that way.

I guess it's up to us to roleplay a Morrigan playthrough that makes sense. It requires less thinking if you're an aggressive Warden type. If you're a good guy, then you're "cracking her shell". I don't like this. It reminds me of the time I dated an alcoholic. Or being a needy teenager.. like you're pining after someone, but want them to change.

Things aren't black and white though. You don't have to agree or disagree with her or any character, there's a middle spot. My canon Warden agreed with her on some topic, and disagreed about others. I found the romanc arc interesting, and I enjoyed it immensely (as that particular playthrough, which is my favourite in DA, regardless of the romance with Morrigan).

The Qun is necessary in order to hold back their madness and rage, fueled by dragon blood. The Qunari should understand it is a philosophy specifically made for them, not a one size fits all thing.

That's why I won't live with them because of it and they should let them go if they don't want to.

The major flaw is that they won't. In every qunari controlled territory people are forced on that choices. You can't like the system by using the good examples in your favour, without considering their negative side.

They won't let them go. They want to change the entire world. It isn't like some optional lifestyle thing. It's totalitarian.

But look how much of a mess the world is: Full of greed, misery, racism, and barbarism.

What kind of catch 22 is that?! Slavery is evil and turning someone in to slavery is beyond evil, because you take away that person's freedom.

It's thedas it's all catch 22 and did I say I approved of it?

And even that doesn't make sense anymore. Because now Qunari are dressing up like nobles and becoming the talk of Ballroom dances, and chumming it up with Chantry sisters.

That's life. You deal with it on a case by case basis and live in the present.. and fix things through action. Idealism is not the way... having some picture of what's perfect in your head, and then steamrolling everyone with it. That always turns out to be even more barbaric than anything before it.

Maybe originally, but it doesn't seem to stop Vashoth from living their lives just fine.

It's not about idealism it's about justice. It's not about perfection is about justice.

And the Qunari don't have a monopoly on justice. Acting like they do is their main problem.

That was the whole point of Act 2 in DA2, I think. Hawke could protect elves, kill Kelder.. do all the things Arishok asks for. But she wasn't a douche about it and attacked the whole damn city.

justice is subjective. Is it just to punish a guy who stole to feed his kid? Is it just to punish a girl resorted to murder to escape a bad place. Moral relatively my friend

That too.

I think most of the things even a good Hawke does in Kirkwall aren't "lawful". But they can be "good".

He was pondering this stuff early though. Already mumbling to himself right after you meet Javaris, about how the city needed intervention.

The Qunari are just grannies when it comes down to it. Meddlers and career counselors, who know you and everything better than yourself. They need to chill.

By our standards? I doubt it. Too much paperwork involved for that.
