I would think. The Circles in the south derived the Knight Enchanter spec from the Arcane Warrior apparently, I'd be shocked if Tevinter didn't have its own version.Arcane warrior is kind of an elf spec. They might add it but I don't think it'll be related to Tevinter.
There are armoured mages in Tevinter though, so I really hope a spec will be related to them.

I never meant or said that everyone who thinks slavery is good. The video is merely for educational purposes and how Dragon Age reflects on history of enslavement that's based on that lecture.
I don't have time to see the video right now so I can't comment on what it says, but slavery existed from ancient times. DA isn't referring to a specific enslavement of a group of people.

Hopefully this time around I can wear a full armour with my mage.

I think you'll find you're in good company here.
My main difference with the Qun is simply that I'm a classic liberal (not necessarily a liberal in the modern sense). I don't abide the suppression of individuals. It's a form of slavery too.

I'm just giving out information because the concept of slavery is interesting and true and how it affects people on the long run. Knowledge is power you know.I sense your trying to persuade me to the evils of slavery. Don't I'm already against it from ancestral obligation. Plus already saw it

If anything, Tevinter slavery seems more in line with Roman slave practices than the slavery he's thinking of.

Yep, I stated that yesterday too I think. Which makes sense since the Imperium is loosely based on the Roman Empire.

The Tevinter Imperium are pretty much the Red Wizards of Thay

I mean, yeah, they aren't the same, but it seems like a pretty clear inspiration.
Whether that in turn has a relation to Rome, who can say.

Hm, though maybe there could be some spells based around that? Casting a magical layer of armor around the caster that deals damage to those in the vicinity? Kind of like the battlemage spec.

only if you can use it. Else it's just trivia for personal amusement. And I disagree with how interesting slavery can be it's merely a facet of a organic's need to dominate someone for x reasonI'm just giving out information because the concept of slavery is interesting and true and how it affects people on the long run. I wouldn't be opposed to providing Tevinter with limited doses of Red Lyrium to take back Seheron but not enough to present a threat to the South.
The only real danger would be if they managed to start mining it from the bodies of their slaves.

That would be fine. And yes, it's better to not have too much hope on this. I didn't mention having a sword for the same reason ![]()

It can be interesting, I have professors who specialize in the study of slavery, it's various forms and its history, examining cultures that justified it. Terms like "social death" get thrown around.only if you can use it. Else it's just trivia for personal amusement. Modern slavery differs from the Roman mainly because of wonky mystical reasons. The European slave trade justified themselves with the "curse of Ham". And so did even the Muslim slave trade some dealt with.
As bad as the Romans were, it was all business to them. This was far more insidious.. and it led to the American Civil war... where the whole South still followed this belief.

Because they have every right to be. Isolationists rather live and help their own people than diverse and "get along" with the people who destroyed them. I don't blame the Dalish shooting humans on sight I give them extra arrows!Like turning them into hateful isolationists?
