You shouldn't bundle all Europeans though.
 
And you're not very proud of the Civil Rights movement, when you say "turn the other cheek" is submission. MLK Jr's methods were borrowed from Gandhi and Tolstoy...which in turn were based on those "turn the other cheek" precepts of Jesus. It's called Non-Violent Resistance. And it had nothing to do with being submissive. It's trying to transcend the whole cycle. In Gandhi's words: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind."
 
Of course, you could say MLK was naive and an Uncle Tom, like the Nation of Islam did. Fair enough. But even Malcolm X changed his mind and became his friend before he got killed (by his own people no less).

I don't expect you to embrace MLK (it's not easy), but you're full of crap if you say you respect the Civil Rights movement. Because that's what all of them were. Non-violent resistance. You're making no sense when you say you respected it. What you want is bitterness and war and saying you have a "right" to hate. That has nothing to do with Civil Rights. It's lunacy.

I respect it because they're taking a stand, but I don't agree with it because it won't solve the problem. I don't expect you to understand.
