No matter how hard we tried to love them, no matter how many marches we've done to change it, there is nothing we can do to change them. They are like that way because is in them to be that way, and I hope they burn in hell for what they have done to you.
So is this where I should bring up stories of former skinheads and KKK members who have reformed and who've dedicated their lives to campaigning in anti-racism and anti-homophobia groups? That some have been forgiven by their former victim(s) and formed genuine friendships with them?
Should I point to the various ways things have changed for people of color as exemplified by, you know, that there is a black president in America?
Should I note how societies and their respective cultures develop and change over time such as my native country. It had a violent past but developed into a country that settes disputes through diplomacy, has long-since illegalized slavery and has formed friendships with countries they formerly fought with and plundered?
