I suppose I do too.. but then I'm afraid the world afterwards will resemble Kingdoms of Amalur. You'll wake up on a pile of corpses and you'll be A Mage/Warrior/Rogue at once. :P

that game... Singlehandly killed a company despite good reviews. Still makes me laugh. The state Rhode island helped fund that lol.

And I thought kotor2 was bad

I have a soft spot for KOTOR2 and DA2... both are overlooked sequels to a beloved game, that had the potential to be great, but even with great devs working on the project, suffered the misfortune of a rushed release date by the parent company.

I only played Kotor 2 at launch. I hated the ending.. or the half-assed ending. I heard they updated it, but I haven't gotten around.

People people biggest star wars geek here and while I have grievances 18th kotor2 it's purely gameplay not story(though it needed more time.

A@ red KoA was done by subsidary of ea red. Obsidian would have made a much better project with the cash they had.

@sifr: agreed totally... But it's a permanent black Mark on their record for me it will be turned into a shot with me

@rex: I liked swtor the most of the series with kotor2 second. Favorite thing about visas for me was kriea and how the relationship between Brianna and visas worked pending on gender

if you call fans butchering code and using half assed attempts at adding content updating sure lol

Rough reading aside yeah couple years back a group of hardworking fans datamine the **** out of it. The added what content they could and other self made stuff to help repair the game. Gotta love pc right.

I seem to recall liking it until the end. Maybe that's what disappoints other people.

yeah it was a bit weird after kreia drops the I love you bomb. But I liked it a fitting end for the greatest villain imo

It was scheduled to have a follow up in kotor3 hence the vagueness but in allevone's works lucasarts was cutting projects and it was "dark times" for all. Got all the way til concept and some models were made .

Some fans think it was canned due to the force unleashed needing funding.

Later a couple months before swtor kotor3 came in the form of a book designed as both tie in and wrap up. Fans weren't pleased apparently, I loved it.

The we got kotor 3.5-9 in swtor yet fans still aren't happy.. (personally think they are ingrates lol)

It's alright it's the only mmo I pay for and the visuals are a bit weak if we compare it today but it works. Can't play the new stuff I get ill nowadays

Anyway the stories are well done it's good old bw but it does have it's weak points

Visuals may be weak, but they did the design well. I'd rather see that than shiny graphics. Blizzard does the same thing. They don't do anything with their graphics and still kick everyone's ass.

I just thought of a crazy romance idea! A spirit of love, who gets ends up turning into a desire demon, unless you act accordingly! I know it's stupid, but it would a new experience.

^ I don't want the ability to romance a spirit. Their very beings are completely receptive and influenced by other people; they don't have true independent thought and desire.

Now, there are certain particular circumstances where a spirit is more independent, but that also depends on its original nature. For example, I think Justice while inhabiting Kristoff's body was his own "person," while still having those attributes that made him Justice. However, that changed when he merged with Anders, and at that point I don't think either of them were independent people.

This is the same problem that I have with the idea of having a romance with DAI Cole (in the base game). He acts and behaves out of compassion; he doesn't do things for himself. So how are we to know that he isn't with someone just because he feels that it will "help"? We can't know that. After making him more human, and after a further two years, he has that independence of self to form his own romantic feelings about someone.

I would like to see what they could do with a spirit romance as long as it is not like with Cole who was child-like at mind and vulnerable to the emotional influence of others as, I believe, David Gaider explained. I think I could see a spirit of valor or honor would be the better candidates with certain circumstances since I'd prefer them as a companion and combat would create issues for spirits with a certain purpose.

I would like to see the transformation be connected not entirely to the romance but that is me and I can see the interesting story prospects that could lie in it happening in connection to the romance.

I'd rather be an abomination but this sounds much more fun

I actually would be intrigued to see a host who was worse than whatever was possessing them, so when they get their personality subsumed and/or merged with the possessing entity, it tempered them somewhat and they actually ended up becoming a "better" person because of it.

Also can anyone else picture the evil machinations of a Desire Demon abomination to be revealed to be nothing more than... operating a brothel. Because if all they want is to feed on people's lust and desires, then running a brothel would be a constantly refilling buffet table of willing mortals for them to sustain themselves on?

(Of course, this requires the demon being smart enough not to gorge themselves and kill patrons, so not to attract undue attention and keep off the radar, something that most demons tend to struggle with.)

I never enjoyed the sequels as much as the original, to be honest, whether it was NWN or whatever, but I did think they were kind of fun as well.

It's definitely 'easier' then being an abomination, since this would require a huge change in perspective from the PC, and a lot of work from to implemente it along the other type of PC.

The idea sort of amused me , the reflect your every wish.

Because I think it's creepy.

But I was playing Fallout 4 and there's one companion (you can't romance) who's sort of a spy , and change his face and identity, and likes to lie a lot  etc...

Anyway I was musing on a romance where the LI would be like that.Someone who totally mold himself/herself on your expectations , and you're never quite sure if it's genuine or all a façade.

Now I'm picturing a desire demon doing this. And perhaps you don't know it's a desire demon , let's say he/she pulled a Cole ,and is semi humanoid.

Like I said I would find that amusing in a creepy way , because for me it would feel SO wrong.

Of course I don't think you could pull that off in a game , the character sort of molding its personality to fit the pc desires would be super hard to pull off.

I thought we had examples of such ones but now that I think about it, I may have been remembering someone who was actual an unusual abomination or a spirit that either took on a persona or was heavily influenced by one.
