btw tevinter people can someone tell me how the old gods were viewed in ancient times? Being a polytheist IRL* I am curious if the Old Gods worship of Tevinter was similar to the roman and greek religions or if it is more generically evil gods?
They were gods that were given sacrifices for appeasement... I think...
WoT mentions that the early human Dreamers of the Neromenian people mentioned how they had visions of the Land of the Gods, and that there were the seven gods and Thalsian claimed to have learned blood magic from Dumat. Blood magic rituals were used to worship the Old Gods.
Old Gods:
Andoral: Dragon of Slaves
Dumat: Dragon of Silence
Lusacan: Dragon of Night
Razikale: Dragon of Mystery
Toth: Dragon of Fire
Urthemiel: Dragon of Beauty
Zazikel: Dragon of Freedom (according to WoT, the wikia says Chaos, but WoT > Wikia, and the erratum did not mention Zazikel).
All Old Gods except for Razikale and Lusacan are believed to have turned into Archdemons and slain. Urthemiel may have been reborn as a mortal's child.
Edit: Not a whole lot is known, I wouldn't make a connection with Greek/Roman other than an influence, just like Christianity was an influence with the Chantry, but comparing them isn't always a good idea and just creates confusion. Just take it as it is, I say.
