I just really don't want it to be Inquisition Part 2: Tevinter Edition.
If anything, I want it to be perhaps indirectly related Solas, or have the events progress naturally without his direct influence. I want it to be subtle, without us even perhaps realizing what's going on till the end. I imagine the "Tevinter Theater", if you will, is one of many cogs in the wheel of his grand master plan as of right now.
Also, I really don't want to see the character himself in the game either.
Gaider has said only half the "Inquisition" story arc made it into DA3. Weekes has tweeted that Solas' story will be concluded in DA4. And its highly unlikely we won't see Solas in a game that deals with his plotline. So... you have my sympathy, I guess?
I think the best hope for this is a dual protagonist scenario. New character is on the ground, doing Tevinter stuffs, introducing us to this new country, and only being subtly involved in the Solas stuff while not really knowing what they're in to. Former Inquisitor is doing his/her thing, communicating with the new guy via some mechanic, working the Solas angle on their own in a more focused manner, and basically being the one with the big picturing in mind. And the stories twist in and out of each other, coming together at the end.
That's my dream scenario anyway. That or bringing the Inquisitor back as the PC to finish this storyline out, but then we don't get the Tevinter native experience. Then again, we could be a Tevinter native in another game. (And being the Inquisitor means we'd be a stranger in a strange land, so all our stupid questions wouldn't be as stupid.) lol Finishing the previous plotline is the most important thing to me.

Unless they are putting his sword and dagger in his mouth it's a lot to swallow.

Cause I hate that a Tevinter storyline is gonna be so heavily influenced and overshadowed by a story arc I don't give a damn about.

The Inquisitor portions need not even have combat.Dual protagonists seems like a fair system if difficult yet the inq is one armed making him less effective.

Imagine the new PC has all the combat and exploration while the Inquisitor parts are all dialogue, puzzles, and other gameplay. Not that the new PC's gameplay wouldn't have those things.

Can we just kill Solas offscreen and be done with it? I hate that it's gone beyond a single game.

On the bright side, nothing says this will be the only game set in Tevinter that we get.

There's the possibility of a prostethic of some kind because of Dagna and Bianca. Alternatively, the Inquisitor side of the role could be mostly dialogue, intrigue, and exploration, and might not involve combat outside of cutscenes. Bioware hasn't done a dual protagonist before (at least not for the entire game), so its a longshot, regardless. Just saying that there are ways it could work.

Well, I'm personally imagining a 80/20 split in gameplay time between the new PC and Inquisitor, so it wouldn't be that long.seems viable if a long ass. Winter palace

The current theory is that this was the purpose of Dorian's communication crystal, particularly since he gives it to both a friend AND a partner Inquisitor. Yes, there will be people who had not recruited him, or befriend him, but still...
Dorian is my Inquisitor's LI. As much as I love the idea of the crystal, it's just too convenient to be anything other than some plot device. If it's not at least referenced in the next game I will be quite surprised.
(Yes, I know PW said he gave one to romanced Bull as well after he was asked about it on Twitter. My point still stands.)
The Inquisitor portions need not even have combat.

Ugh... I really would prefer to not have the deus ex machina of an off-screen prosthetic. If my Inquisitor shows up with one I will be annoyed that that agency was taken away from me.

If we got a prosthetic, I'd want it to be on-screen. And I'd want to see at least a bit of struggle with it and phantom limb feelings, etc. Like... the suddenness of "tada, you have no arm" and neither the Inquisitor nor the crowd seeming to be shocked by it really annoyed me in Trespasser. (Its one of the only things about that DLC that annoyed me.) I'd really like to get a second crack at dealing with the whole "I have no left hand anymore." thing, if at all possible.
As for agency, I doubt a prosthetic would be optional if they gave us one. But maybe you'd at least get agency in how you reacted to it? (I mean, I don't see why an Inquisitor would reject having a prosthetic, personally, but I suppose they could let you grumble about it if you like).

^ Honesty, I just want the ability to emote about the missing arm just once.
[edit]
The idea of a prosthetic is grand, sure, but they're not without their own problems. They can cause pain, need additional physical training to get used to and use properly, in addition to whatever lingering other issues the person has as a result of their missing limb.

The game should be big enough to give enough attention to both Solas and Tevinter.
I hope so...

Aside from Minrathous, what parts of Tevinter do you guys really want to see? Personally, I'm very curious about the hundred pillars. Pillars that are not stone, but apparently some kind of unique substrate not seen anywhere else. It has me intrigued. Also want to see the ruins of Barindur/the Silent Plains.
