It's still about as appropriate as calling Qunari cows.
Considering they are referred to as 'ox men' according to Bioware's own lore, cows seems like a rather appropriate short hand.
Well ok, but it's still about as accurate as calling humans hairless apes.
Trivializing is a sign of fear and anguish. Qunari accept it with a smile.
Let them have their coping mechanisms.

Nvm, I edited my post... had him confused with somebody else...

By that logic elves must be the most fearsome race in Thedas ![]()

HA! Not bad.
Elves do it to themselves though....I don't wtf that means LMAO!
Anyway, I'd just like to have a game set in Tevinter to get a break from all the politics and religious issues of the rest of Thedas... I was weary of the mage vs. Templar argument years ago, and I don't want to have to deal with that in every game of the series. It'll still be there in a Tevinter game of course, but not to the same degree, as the rules are different in Tevinter. The White Chantry is such a dominant force in the majority of Thedosian cultures that it would be refreshing to see things from the Black Chantry point of view for a change... I say they should do it in DA4 before returning to White Chantry lands, as a change of pace if nothing else. Plus, I'd like to see first hand how Tevinter deals with abominations... how common they are, what happens when an abomination attacks in the middle of a crowded city, etc...
Not quite sure what is going on in that bottom one, but its something new to me.
Aside from that I will not be fooled. I know how you Tevinter scum are with your magics and altering visions. I see through your flith. Qunari breeding is for the better of the Qun. What you show is.....
The bottom pic is Hawke and the Arishok making out lol.
I may or may not have the ability to alter your vision but the proof is right there in the gif.
What I showed was fun outside of the Qun, you should try it more often ![]()

Couldn't have said better myself. But not only restricted to abominations. I want to know all about Tevinter. You don't survive a war with the Elvhen, the Blights, An Old God incarnate/Bride of the Maker (it's debatable), several Exalted Marches, uprisings, and a Qunari invasion, without getting a couple of things right.

^Agreed, they were/and kind of still are the strongest human country in Thedas right now. Orlais and Nevarra are probably the only possible contenders, and the Orlesians have civil war and Nevarrans have a puppet king.

I'm also curious about the dwarves that provide lyrium to the Tevinters... what is their culture like? What are the Deep Roads like beneath Tevinter? Etc... it's crazy to have such a cool place sitting in the background but never being the focus of a game... I know that we can visit a small part of it in MP, but one or two multiplayer maps isn't good enough... how are we supposed to learn about Tevinter culture from that?

Some new form of "chest muzzling" huh. I see ![]()
The gif is a lie!
I will never turn my back on the Qun. Ever. I am not weak from the start and I don't need magic to make up for what I lack. I will not give into any "bas" ways. If it is meant to be that the Qun and Qunari fall I will retire my account that day. I would have said this is impossible.....but seeing how the gods (or whatever your kind calls them) have saw fit to take healing from mages I'm not so sure what to believe anymore. But I will always believe in the Qun. The day it unleashes me will be a dark day for Tevinter!

You will be the first to die.
If the next game is the Qunari invasion one as a lot of people are guessing, Tevinter would be the logical setting ![]()
I'd like to see Tevinter. Maybe if the Venatori drain off the crazy blood mages, then the Mae Tilonis and Dorians of Tevinter can reform it. Then you could have the best of Tevinter without the worst, and we'd actually care to save it ![]()
Tevinter is mostly my kind of place. I only don't like two things about Tevinter currently:
1) They are a religious nation.
2) They have an official ban on blood magic.
Other than that, still best nation in Thedas imo.

The Qun would be more fun if it had more "bas" ways in it.
The Qun should embrace magic like how the Arishok is embracing Anders here:

Not like that ban means anything tho.
It means that instead of advancing blood magic, people each hide their own little secrets and progress in the sphere is very stale.

Don't they have to do that in order to stay on the good side of the Orlesian Chantry?

Screw the Orlesian Chantry. They are not in a position to threaten Tevinter in any way atm.

Hm... I don't know if it's wise to defy them considering the Exalted March. That is always a threat, especially with the Qunari on the other side causing problems... Now, if the Orlesian Chantry falls due a schism like Mother Petrice predicted, that might be a good time to start changing the laws in Tevinter... in fact, if that happens I guarantee that blood magic will be legalized within hours of the news reaching Minrathous.
