Okay, there is a minority that worships dragons... dragon cults can be anywhere in Thedas where humans have tasted dragon blood and somehow become subservient to a high dragon.

Tevinter isn't one dimensional. Like the dalish, there are glaringly obvious faults and problems, but unlike the dalish, there is plenty of great things about Tevinter.

It is like the old Roman Empire, terrible aspects, but also contributed a lot to art, science, stability, and whatever neo-classicists (real word?) swoon over.

Tevinter is fiercely independent and powerful, which is pretty admirable.

Well, I also find some aspects of the Sith in Star Wars (at least in Legends universe) to be admirable, so there is my bias I guess.

Huh, Dragon Age's Dragons aren't evil, at best they're savage, then again they were (or at least Titus was) trying to get the Dragon's blood as well, so that's not worship.

But it is based in the Bible of how the Dragon is a symbol of Satan in the Book of Revelations and all those blood rituals and sacrifices with blood magic and drinking Dragon's blood is pretty gross. (Huh no wonder the Stoker's Lore the Father of Dracula named Carpathian Dragon) When I talked to Dorian about blood magic he mentioned the Magisterium would never go out in the open with it, but behind closed doors is a different story. Which it translates
