Zevran/Fenris/Dorian: Team awesome. Also really easy on the eye. Fenris might take a while to take to Dorian but you can trust Zevran to break the ice. Dorian wants to avenge himself on the Magisters who caused his father's death. I am sure that Fenris would be only too happy to oblige and Zevran is a professional assassin. I think it could work.
While my ancient elf mage nearly destroyed my attraction to elves, I just chalked it up to experience, replayed and mended my broken heart with Dorian. My gay romances always work out the best.

Personally I'd be interested in either a Tevinter Templar guy who served under the Black Divine or perhaps an Altus mage involved in politics (maybe even a magister)? They'd be both human and romanceable by either gender.

Oh, I'd love to see the Imperial Chantry and how it differs from the Orlesian Chantry in the south especially because of what I've read about it such as how magic is performed openly during all services and that they claim the blackening of the Golden City was caused by the lies of the Old Gods. While they respect and honor Andraste as a human prophet with considerable magic talent, they forbid worship of her and instead focus their worship only on the Maker.

Mae is number 1 then maybe a female dwarf and lastly calWell, at the risk of opening a can of worms, what kind of Tevinter love interest would you be interested in?

I also want to see the Circle of Magi in Minrathous because it is really the old Temple to Razikale and the second oldest structure in the Imperium and the best preserved. Anyone know what the oldest one is?

I really like the idea of Calpernia and/or Maevaris, or an Ambassadoria dwarf. Cal and Mae have unique perspectives and through no fault of my own my characters seem to have a weakness for blondes (which is weird, because I have no particular preference? Lol). I'm really fascinated by dwarven culture as it exists in Tevinter and would love to romance a character who encapsulates that life.

I second this! It sounds like a whole 'nother animal. I'm interested in their take, and I wonder if we'll get a devoutly religious follower of the Imperial Chantry? Dorian belongs to it, but I wouldn't describe him as devout in the same way that Cassandra, Sebastian, and Leliana are.

Don't take him near any lakes.

Heh, I was thinking of naming a character Narcissus if the setting is Tevinter. I like to make a list beforehand because I tend to have trouble deciding so I want to have covered some bases beforehand
If the character is from a noble family then I'm thinking of giving them a name like Narcissus or something of a similar to reflect that they are of Tevinter nobility since I think I've seen examples from Tevinter that suggest they have names of that kind.
I'm considering in-universe herbs as name options if the character is not of a noble birth. My preferred choices at the moment are Felandris and Embrium though Embrium may be shortened down to Brium. Given the properties of the herbs in question, this could serve as an indication of something like, say, their personalities.
Felandris means "demon weed" in elven and only grows in places where the Veil is thin. Many feel that it radiates an aura of malevolence. Embrium has therapeutic qualities and is used in healing or protective potions and tonics.
It could also be indicative of Felandris having parent(s) that were humorous or were just plain mean. Heh, speaking of which, Isaac was the name of the first Shepard I played. She was named after Isaac Asimov because I absolutely love and adore his novel collection "I, Robot". I kind of like the idea of her parent(s) naming her that with the same person in mind.

Dorian is a more honest worshipper than all those devout southern Chantry believers. He says he believes in the Maker because the alternative would be no god watching over you at all, which he finds unsettling, but he isn't constantly looking to the Maker to help him out. He also has a better moral outlook than anyone I've met in the southern Chantry. He actually follows the 5 moral codes of the Chant. He believes in the Maker, he doesn't abuse his gift of magic, he doesn't harm people weaker than himself (or anyone without cause), he doesn't lie and believes that the truth should be known; he doesn't steal.
In other words he puts to shame all the Orlesian nobility who murder each other and servants with impunity just to stay ahead in the Game and all those Chantry stalwarts who constantly encouraged my Inquisitor to lie about everything that happened and Leliana, the future Divine, whose solution to many war table missions was to lie and deceive people and encouraged murder.

Err... I didn't say he didn't believe, I mean that it's not the #1 most noticeable thing about his character like we've seen from devout Southerners, and that I'd like to see a fervently religious follower of the Imperial Chantry. I didn't say anything about whether that makes them good people.

The Tevinter Chantry sounds more interesting. It's older, apparently the first Andrastian faith, they no doubt have differences compared to the more mainstream church.
They do; I've noted some of them a bit higher up on the page if you like to read them ![]()

I am aware of the major differences between them but I want to know how they operate compared to the Orlesian Chantry. They limited to one country, have to deal with cults and the Qun more frequently than the southern one and their priests can marry. It is kind of funny how the older Chantry is more progressive and active compared to the southern one. They do; I've noted some of them a bit higher up on the page if you like to read them

Eh, I don't think that's a matter of progression as much as it is due to how Tevinter nobility has an emphasis on reproduction and status marriage. Like the Orlesian Chantry, the Imperial Chantry also has a gender restriction but theirs is on women instead of men. I also consider both to be active but in different ways and about different things.

I hope that they possess similar incantations like the Litany of Adralla. She was Tevinter and found a way to effectively banish demons, nullify blood magic and stop possessions. Hope they have other cool scrolls like that.
Oh I do hope we get to do another one of those type of battles
in Tevinter! Sounds like we need to fight a army of demons this time around though.

My point about Dorian was that I would take him over a "devout" believer any day. If the devout believer actually lived their faith in day to day life like Dorian does, then I'd be only too happy to have them as a companion.
