For the past two weeks I've been binge watching history documentaries..

My conclusion is that revolutions are bad. At least for awhile. Not sure that toppling something as old and large as Tevinter (if you were so inclined) would be a good idea anymore.

Yup, My ancestors agree with you.

I think the smoothest and most well known is the American one, but even then, a lot of issues eventually came to a head. But at least it took awhile, I guess.

Maybe that's the best I could hope for Tevinter. Lots of compromises. Then a terrible internal war 50 years later :P

From Russian, most of them, at least from my father side. German from my mother, I don't have sure about that german side through, probably not.

I have more european blood from my mother side, they mixed a lot, I don't know how.

Ah, well I've been educating myself about Russia lately. It's sad. And like all revolutions, the first wave seemed well meaning (the provisional govt).

This revolution caused problems even for countries outside the Slav bloc.

I live in Brazil for 8 years or more, I studied some things here, about Brazillian culture and history.

In the Military dictatorship, 1964-1985, Cuba has trained some guerrilla dudes from Brazil to try a Revolution here, well, failed, of course, they tried to, you know, CALL THE PEOPLE FOR THE BATTLE, people from... farms. And only the leaders had been in Cuba, so, they were the only ones who had military training. And only Russian dudes who never been in Brazil would think that stupidity, that a Revolution would occur. The Brazillian reality was so different from the Russian one in 19xx that was almost another world, yeah, the Soviets was ''helping'' this guerrilla dudes.

The Military dictatorship in Brazil was called ''Counter-Revolution'' back there.

Yeah, counter-revolutionary... a favorite word of theirs. Even the French Revolution used a similar saying, way back when.

Excuse to ascend to power, besides, as you saw, the Russian revolution was a shame. When people think about dystopia, they think in 1984, the book.
Well, I think in Soviet Union, they promised a utopia and delivered a dystopia. Bioshock Infinite, have you played? the same thing.

Let's make an imagination exercise? Imagine this: Elven Revolution in Tevinter.

If other revolutions are any indication, there'd probably be rape and massacre in the streets. Unless there was some inspiring authority behind it. But that's unusual.

I haven't played all of the Bioshocks.. just the first. But I get what you mean.

Yeah, dictatorship system would be in vigor for sure, a lot of humans would be dead in the streets, mage and nor mages, poor and rich.

Some times a dictatorship is nessacry pending on how bad a nation is. Tevinter would imo do well with it instead of a dubious mericratic senate

Now that I think about it, it was probably a blessing in disguise that Andraste died just shy of reaching the city. Who knows what her army would have done, if they won. In death, she retains dignity and just serves as an alternative.

I'm just saying.. probably a lot of them were just angry ex-slaves or pissed off about the first blight. They might've not totally embraced her message yet.

She would not be a myth or something, like she is. This type of story helps the deification.

I think the smoothest and most well known is the American one.

Some have argued that it shouldn't even be considered a revolution, as the colonies were largely self governing already. The interference of the crown that led to the revolution was the exception rather than the rule. That might be why.

One thing's for sure: Radonis isn't a Knight Enchanter/Arcane Warrior/Whatever spec that would require melee.

That definitely isn't the proper outfit to engage on melee combat, aside from the magister robes he's using (which I suspect would restrain movement), he also has a big helmet that seemingly reduces his visual field... and of course, he has a cape.

Lol, I highly highly doubt that any of that precludes him from being a Knight Enchanter. Nice mention of the cape though.
