I have no restriction on Blood magic i use it all the time its a way for us to save face everyone know we do it doesn't mean they have to like it they just accept it

and yes this is a serious question how come i can not have a slave the heretics in the south have slaves shouldn't all nobles be treated  be treated equally  :P

Well, only some do. And they aren't supposed to. So by your logic of all nobles being treated equally, you should ban slavery and see those who still have slaves as despicable for doing so.

Alright, so it was the Tevinter persona one. Gotcha.

And I'm sorry, chibi person, but I don't care. Besides, you won't be able to stop me. I'll have SSS(Special Snowflake Syndrome).

These, all be it important, issues aside. What do my fellow Magisters think of Dorian? So far, I must say I am both quite perplexed and discouraged. It seems this mustachioed fiend is some manner of apologist or, worse, closet deserter. Were it not for his family's good standing I would find myself inclined to call for a vote on his Heresy and subsequent Tranquilisation.

This Dorian is a traitor and I would have a great pleasure to introduce him my torture chamber in my tower given the change. Anyone working against the Imperium needs to be put down without mercy. There is no middle ground. In fact I suggest we send a strike team to apprehend and bring him back here before the senate for a trial and earned death sentence.

Not at all you are forgetting about the ones that Does it even if a small majority does it that leaves the door open for others to do the same thing

Agree we should go after the traitor admittedly

So you're telling me, in real life, you approve of the institution of slavery?

Just trying to determine if this is really you talking or if you're putting on a Tevinter persona.

Well, I advocate that those who do should be imprisoned at best so if you want all magisters thrown in jail for equal treatment I am more than fine with that.

Archon Hessarian was a heretic in the eyes of his ancestors, since he went against the religion of the time and what brought Tevinter to what it was at that time.

do you take us for dwarfs? ancestors view nothing they are dead. only those that worship the maker properly will gain a place by is side. there is no afterlife for those that oppose the Imperial chantry, their only trace is the echo's of their soul known to wonder the fade laughable called a spirit b those that are ignorant.

You put too much attention on Tevinter where there is evil all over Thedas. Orlais is #1.

Really? I leave the assembly to visit the faithful in Seheron and this is what I return to?

-The southerners are just misled by their fear and hate, which is what twisted their Chant. While magic is a gift of the Maker given to specific individuals, it is in the service of the people! The "mundanes" are children of the Maker, just as we all are.

-Tevinter is the first Exalted State, the first nation to embrace the Maker once again, and it was 100 years before Drakon's rise to power. When Drakon's Chantry started barking orders, Tevinter went along with it for the sake of a unified faith, and was in a policy of appeasement. Eventually, the faithful of Tevinter grew sick of the errors of the south and gave up on trying to correct them, so the Imperial Chantry was formed again.

-Also, just want to say that while Mages do rule in all the higher positions, it is more due to culture than law. The law does allow "mundanes" to be Archon or even the Divine. Magisters chosen from the Circles obviously are mages, but there are positions in Tevinter's government that doesn't have to be filled by mages, and for a long time were filled by non-mages. It's only in the past 200 years or so that mages have taken all the top roles since the time of the old ways. It's not wrong, mages have magic in order to serve, and we all serve Tevinter, from the Archon to the loyal slave. This is the ideal, of course, we have fallen from the Maker's favor and suffer in our sin, but Tevinter has great potential.

Tevinter could probably be able to live out the ideals that its laws try to establish if it wasn't surrounded by enemies or potential enemies. I would guess Tevinter would really ease up if Nevarra allied with us. The Hope of Tevinter still lives, we all try to seek it in the ways we believe to be the best.

Well, the good thing about this Breach, is that after it is all taken care of, it does open up opportunities for Imperial missionaries to spread the true Chant of Light. Nevarra is already prime convert territory, as it does not hold to the fear and hatred of their ancestors.

I was speaking poetically. As a Tevinter, I thought you'd appreciate that.

Also, that's not how spirits are made.

I never said I am focusing solely on Tevinter. I agree Orlais is just as bad, from the nobles who keep secret slaves to the Chevaliers, and plan to do just as much changing to it.

Bah!  *waves with hand*

We do not need outsiders to tell the Imperium what is important. When our armies march to the old borders we can debate these issues with the new subjects of the Imperium and maybe, just maybe, we will hear what they have to say.

*takes a sip of the Tevinter wine*

Dam this is good stuff!

It's time for................. an Imperial Inquisition! (mostly stolen from that other imperium)

They command fear and respect in equal measure. They are creatures of myth

as much of flesh and blood, relentless beings who descend from on high to

pass judgement upon the renegade, The traitor and the heretic. It is a rare

citizen who does not dread drawing an Inquisitor's steely gaze, who does not

experience the starkest terror in his or her presence.

Every Imperial citizen, from the poorest of Slave to the highest and

wealthiest of nobles, has heard the tales of death and destruction,

Of the all-seeing eye that condemns or absolves with impunity.

1187487529730.png

Survival is the only goal for which Inquisitors strive; not personal

survival, for they, more than any, Understand that one life is meaningless

against the need’s of Tevinter. An Inquisitor labours for nothing less

than the endurance of Imperium

This is a cold hearted pragmatism, so unyielding and fervid that it eclipses

the faith of even the most devout of the Grand ClericsThe Inquisitor is an

arbiter of absolute truth. In his or her eyes, tradition is irrelevant, decades

of blameless existence count for nothing, and ignorance matters not one

bit. The deeds of the hour are the Inquistor's obsession, and the

consequences spiralling from the most seemingly

 insignificant acts his burden.

No one expects the Tevinter Inquisition! Our greatest weapons are fear, surprise, fanatical devotion to the Imperium and magic. :wizard:

Funny how most of the Tevinter supporters picture themselves as part of the Magisterium. Quite telling, isn't it?

I know I have barley set foot upon Tevinter soil but I am wondering something. I have seen where there are arguments over the Imperial Chantry and such but I have also seen some Magisters in here talking of being loyal to Dumat...My question simple is this which is the true religion in Tevinter? the Imperial Chantry or following the Old Gods? I am a sponge for knowledge, any place you can suggest for information would be appreciated good sirs.

The Imperial Chantry is the official religion of Tevinter. If the Old Gods aren't outright outlawed, it is certainly frowned upon.

I leave this floor to conjure and deal with matters of the utmost importantance to Dumat, and what do I return to....Heresy! Disbelief! Madness!

These foreigners have sullied our vaunted magisterium too long, cast them out. Their opinions are of no import here. The temple of Dumat welcomes all but we will not tolerate heretics and those who dare sully the name of of lord.

Well, my username dates back to the days of Age of Empires. It did seem fitting back then. I just stuck with it since.

I just think it is quite telling that all the "supporters" of Tevinter, only seem to support it if they are themselves part of the elite. And that is quite telling about Tevinter society.

What it tells us is that in a proper society like Tevinter, the strong and most capable rule. We make no excuses. Magisters are the power and the might therefore we make the decisions. The populace was overjoyed throughout the empire when we magisters regained power during the storm age.
