For that first part: I'm pretty sure it did exist. Or else it was just some Gaspard support or Celene support thread. Same effect either way. None of them would be particular popular threads.

I remember those threads. What I don't remember are the posts made by merchants, farmers, or nobles from unremarkable bloodlines.

Yeah well, some people don't like the association of slavery and human sacrifice, yet do fancy themselves a proper powertrip.

Yeah, I don't understand those who do that. You gotta stick to your guns.

Either way I'm done debating with you heretical plebeians. I've got a Qunari siege to break in Seheron. It's tough work being a Magister and a General. I'll keep the rest of the Magisterium updated on the current situation with the Qunari. If any significant votes occur in my absence Tevinter Rose and lordsaren101 have the authority to vote on my behalf.

And the architecture.  Screaming slaves?  I've been to Kirkwall.  Is it all that angst on fighting your fellow magisters that make your artists so pedantically morose?

Those were built with a practical function in mind. I guess if you call it art... someone out there could be flattered.

I don't remember anyone RP'ing at all in those threads. I was talking about how I could see those who usually posted in them, would RP it.

Also, back on the old BSN, when the RP section of the forum was more lively, people were usually RP'ing characters of lesser importance. Not the Grand Cleric, but the Revered Mother. Not the Keeper, but the First. Not the Magister, but his apprentice.

Yeah, I don't understand those who do that. You gotta stick to your guns.

Not everyone got conviction.

@lordsaren101:  Your cities DO stink of ****** and blood though... really... it's gross.

I also met this fellow named Dorian who ACTUALLY had a twirly mustache like some villains in the acting troupes wear in their plays.

You scamps don't even try to mask your intentions.

There is nothing to mask. A dragon does not mask himself from his prey, he devours it. Begone Nevarran. Your Mortalitasi are a weak boys club, you know nothing of true power. You are beneath my notice, beneath any Tevinter. GO back to your wretched king, I'd say when he dies you can make him into one of your shambling corpses, but judging by his current state I'd say hes already one. Pentaghast scum.

@The Baconer:  It's absolutely ghastly and would deeply bring down my day.

It's why in Nevarra we honor our mummies in herbs and oils.  Adorn them in gold and lapis lazuli.

We revere our ancient masters with meticulously carved skulls festooned with precious gems.

And the theme is dragons... not weak screaming slaves.

Do come visit some time.  We can hunt drakes on the moors and you can tell me all about the latest Annulments in the southern circles and the antics that followed.

@lordsaren101: A dragon you say?  You might have heard... we nearly wiped dragons off Thedas last time we put our minds to it Tevinter.

The only thing she is slaying with is her hideous face. I wasn't aware women in the Pentaghast lineage resembled genlock's so closely.

It's amazing though - that people ignore "how" Tevinter Magisters advance... it's not like getting all "A's" in high school.

If you're a high ranking Magisters 99 out of a 100 times - you're a psychotic megalomaniac who's betrayed, lied, murdered, robbed your way to the top.

I´m RP:ing a Magister who is, closes to, lawful evil. He is from one of the oldest mage families in Minrathous. He is ambitious (obviously), has vices (slave women, wine), is ruthless and malicious when needed (torture chamber). Is even married (arranged loveless marriage, three grown up daughters out of who two elder ones are mages, youngest "mundane" secret shame of the father ;) ) BUT is fiercely patriotic and thinks what is best for Tevinter first (or what he think is).

And no, it´s not even close to what kind of person I am  :) .

I don't see them RP'ing as the Emperor or high nobility (Magisterium) either. Usually they go for the mid-tier of importance characters. That is Chevaliers, lower nobility, hell, even merchants. How many of you have RP'ed a Tevinter merchant, a mage from the Tevinter Circle, or a Tevinter non-mage noble in this thread? None. Because it is basically the EXACT same thing as their equivalent in any other Thedosian nation. So what people "support" is not the nation. It is the title of Magistrate and the power it implies.

i RP as a immigrant thats FE not a magister thank you very much lol :)

Then it is working as intended :>, considering what part of the city you are in. I don't think they have those in what they call Hightown now.

Tevinter are the OG dragons, don't be copying.

Be you so arrogant when Dumat burns your little province to ground before re-absorbtion into the empire. Although if lady Cassandra is there Dumat may turn to flee in the face of here rampant ugliness...or more likely he'd just immolate her, would be an improvement. Honestly I should not jest, to be born so hideously deformed as Cassandra is a curse...poor girl...Dumat have mercy.

That's the best you got?  I admit, some people mistake Cassandra for a man.  The same cannot be said of any Magister.

@The Baconer:  Well to be more specific... slain dragons.  You're a touchy fellow.  I recommend more vitamins in your diet.. perhaps more salt, a bit of mercury even.  Your humours are clearly out of balance.

I know!

I'll send you to Tevinter for a proper bleeding - they get all tingling in their privates for that sort of thing up there.

No, no. You've got your cultures confused. I think you meant Orlesian nobles.

I need nothing else, you should be proud her ugliness is more powerful than any Nevarran army. Fear not, perhaps the darkspawn will turn her into a broodmother, although she already resembles the part if you ask me.

Hey now. Don't talk smack about my romance. Apologize or prepare to meet on the dueling grounds. No lord shall besmirch my lady.

I will join you there. It´s time to put some efffort to this war. However, I need a month to get my personal guard ready without diminishing my towers defences, my wife would get angry if I would take all those young men with me. *chuckles*

I will also bring a convoy of supplies for the troops with me so it takes a bit more time to get there.

My oldest daughter is there leading one of the companies in Dragon legion so you might want to look her up when you get there. She has a bit liberal ideas so don´t be alarmed though. *frowns*

I'm not sure Magisters should be judging someone's appearance.  I mean, have you seen how they dress?

@lordsaren101:  Were you beaten by all the other little magisters as a child?  You're certainly a surly fellow.

You know, for all their faults, the Orlesians are at least pleasant to your face.  No wonder nobody wants to help you with your cattle problem.

I shall send you a girl to lighten your mood.  No.. TWO girls.  Or boys if you wish.  I do not want to presume.

Gaspard.

Lost a fight even though he had (frail, southern-born) mages simultaneously buffing him and de-buffing his opponent.
