Ya... I can't see that happening, but would be funny to place a mage ruler in Orlais.

However, I can see Nevarra adopting the Imperial Chantry, or at least be open to it and have it start to spread there. Which would open doors for mages outside that necromancer club.

Maybe Tevinter should try to spread its influence into the Free Marches again... get some City State allies.

if they do it through politics and religion then its possible to have tevinter satilite states. Not tevinter but has her habits

I do hope that we get to learn more about Nevarra the place seems incredably fascinating, so I like knowing more about it. :)

I do hope for a game set in Nevarra at some point.

Tevinter is my hope for the next game, but if that isn't going to happen, then I'd hope for Nevarra or the Anderfels. I'm not really interested in Antiva or Rivain at this time. Free Marches should be the setting for another novel, I think, there's a lot you could do there.

Nevarra would be cool for the next location; esepecailly as their is a game of thrones style succession war brewing in the distance.

The game of thrones/ A song of Ice and Fire series are set in a medieval style world. It is rather low and dark fantasy. Basically the plot follows various characters as they scheme and do politics throughout the world of westros. It is a very political and drama sort of series, i enjoy it but i know its not for everyone. Its known for the fact that anyone can die in the story, and your favorite character could very easily wind up dead. Which I enjoy but not everyone does.

The plot is really good just very slow moving at a lot of points. Don't get me wrong I love the siblings that are a little close for my taste (at least one i love to hate) The characters are really strong if you get a chance to watch it I would recommend doing so.

Gay walk?

Some magisters, from the present and/or past, are/were probably gay... Not sure if one would classify Magister Maevaris Tilani as gay... whatever, I don't want to go there...

Don't know the sexuality of all the other magisters and Tevinter slavers we've run into.

Does that answer your question?

What's a vampire? I've never heard of such a thing, is that a new kind of demon that uses blood?

However, I agree, the Imperial Chantry frowns on and discourages blood magic. It is evil.

Well, they do help increase the post count in the thread, which makes the Tevinter Support thread look more popular, and as long as it is tied back to Tevinter, then it is relevant and won't lock the thread.

So, they can be used in service to Tevinter. For the Imperium!

I forgot that such things existed. Indeed, I have never come across such a thing personally, but I now recall reading on such cases in my studies.

As a wandering mage, an apostate as the southerners would call you, you must have your share of tales on your journey to reach Tevinter. The young apprentices in the Circles can be so foolish in their boasts about their studies and "power," but they do not know the trials one faces in the wilderness. Alone, with no Circle for assistance, and having to face danger everyday.

I've heard many tales of our soldiers and mages surviving the wilds of Seheron after being separated or surviving an ambush, and I remember one mage who had to survive a month in the chaos of northern Seheron, where Qunari and rebel natives have their skirmishes. She and her apprentice were cut off after one vicious engagement, and would have to steal and remain vigilant the whole time... her apprentice was young, however, and she saw her apprentice become an abomination due to his fear of death, a terrible thing to behold...

yes most magi do not know the hardships of life, what its like to be hungry, pushed to both mental/pysicall exhaustion, to slay a templar while losing a pint of blood(first experiance with BM). Perhaps ill tell the children that story

I could see some marsher cities returning to the empire but not Nevarra. In order to get those city states, the Imperium would have to play the role of "protector" offering cheap goods and military alliance against external threats.

the biggest threat to any free marsher city is nevarra. the Imperium then demands they accept the Imperial chantry and allow mages access to the upper reaches of society. then uses its wealth to ensure only puppets of Tevinter end up in power and hire merc bands to attack convoys that are delivering goods to the white chantry driving the desperate to turn to the black for help and growing the religion from there (there's always more little guys then big wigs after all)
