Who honestly talks like that who isn't insane or in a comic or anime?
Insanity is in the eyes of the beholder. People don't brake, they change.

I beg to differ, I acquired a golem years ago. but didn't a control rod on it so i used a many of my slaves to try and find out the password. sadly i lost 8 slaves before i we found out how to control it without a control rod.
I still remember charles my third slave to give it a go (i do believe he intended to use the golem against me), he was most definitely broken....... into many different pieces in fact
we never did find his head last i saw it was heading into a nearby field.
Yeah.... this is what happens when we are left unsupervised and we have lore talk....* sees pizza* oh pizza im starved!*walks into thread*

You understand!Any nation based on the Roman Empire is bound to be glorious.
What I wanted to see is their capital. The glory of any empire is most clearly reflected in its capital.

Well the wine was cool enough and wind was mild so it was a nice change to relax and watch some entertainment. *laughs*
I was going to send you more slaves should you have run out of them, but it all worked out fine.

Well, we missed Funalis, but Satinalia is soon to be upon us! (Matrinalis is the 9th month, and Umbralis is the 11th month).
Funalis: This holiday was once dedicated to the Old God of Silence, Dumat. However, since Dumat’s rise during the First Blight, Thedosians turn a blind eye to any old ties between the day and the dragon. The holiday is now known across Thedas as All Soul’s Day and spent in somber remembrance of the dead. In some northern lands, the people dress as spirits and walk the streets in parade after midnight. The Chantry uses the holiday to remember the death of Andraste, with public fires that mark her immolation and plays that depict her death. It is celebrated at the beginning of Matrinalis.
Satinalia: Once dedicated to the Old [God] of Freedom, Zazikel—but now attributed more to the second moon, Satina—this holiday is accompanied by wild celebration, the wearing of masks, and naming the town fool as ruler for a day. In Antiva, Satinalia lasts for a week or more, while a week of fasting follows. In more pious areas, large feasts and the giving of gifts mark the holiday. Satinalia is celebrated at the beginning of Umbralis.

Edit: So, everyone get your masks ready, we will have a true Tevinter celebration soon enough! Let's show the Orlesians that celebrations are better with magic!

Outside that one holiday description from WoT, I can't find any other references to Thedas' moons other than weapons and the Elven pantheon having a goddess that is associated with the moon or something. Only the second moon has been named...
So, I can't find a second source that speaks of the two moons.
Satinalia makes me think of the Topsy Turvy scene from the Disney Hunchback of Notre Dame movie with the king of fools.
when at camp look up ,you can see 2 moons... that or i was drunk that night and played on nightmare and couldnt see straightOutside that one holiday description from WoT, I can't find any other references to Thedas' moons other than weapons and the Elven pantheon having a goddess that is associated with the moon or something. A lesson on the calender for all the southern immigrants here. We in Tevinter should keep to the original names of the months, and not bother with the name changes that the south has imposed.
1. Verimensis (those of the south know this as Wintermarch)
2. Pluitanis (Guardian)
3. Nubulis (Drakonis)
4. Eluviesta (Cloudreach)
5. Molioris (Bloomingtide)
6. Ferventis (Justinian)
7. Solis (Solace)
8. Matrinalis (August)
9. Parvulis (Kingsway)
10. Frumentum (Harvestmere)
11. Umbralis (Firstfall)
12. Cassus (Haring)
Also, we keep our record of years by when the founding of Tevinter started, so we are in the year 2034 TE, as the south would call it 9:40 Dragon. However, as there are many southerners here, when others mention the Ages, they should be tolerated just to keep business running and not have to stop everytime just to correct someone's calender.
Also, Tevinter did use the Chantry calender for a time, and the Schism is only about 200 years old so far, which is when we went back to the Tevinter Calendar, so Tevinter citizens in the country may still go by the Chantry calender.
I was remenbering a quote from The Saxon Chronicles. Uhtred, the protagonist who lives in 9th century England at the time of the Vinking invasion is always impressed by the ruins of ancient roman buildings. He wonders why men can't build like that anymore. And he says this: "The romans had left marble and stone, brick and glory."
The point here is: that's the case with the Tevinter Imperium. They once controlled the lands the games take place, yet I don't get the vibe of that quote. And it's not like we didn't see Tevinter's ruins. Correct me if I'm wrong but the castle in the very beginning of DAO (The part of the battle) was made by them. And there was also roads and many other things I'm sure. I blame Dragon Age lack of art style for that, but I hope it's something that changes in Inquisition.
