i not understood why bioware start a expectation with the ending of da2 and the missing state of warden and hawke....they only bring back hawke but not the warden....

what is your plan with the hero of ferelden/orlesian warden?you have a idea and now decide change the opinión or what?

much people since the ending of da2 have expectation.

why generate false expectations?

bioware decide change the state of warden alive for disappeared well now my question is he continue alive or he is death?is very simple respond this for bioware?

have a plan for wardens commander(hero or orlesian warden)for future games?please confirm this and stop of generate expectations in the fans of wardens.

Yeah, most of those ''false expectations'' were made by the fanbase, not Bioware.

We know that we'll hear of the HoF.

Because it did not fit with the story. This is not the story of the warden part 2.

Nothing in the end of DA2 was about setting up the wardens return. Just that they had gone missing

can you help ? Where is it mentioned that the warden gone missing ? I didn't have a proper save to transfert from DAO to DA2 . So I used the whole 'make your new save' with the DAO Editor . All I recall from doing that , is I get a quest where they mention to kill some guys and the npc who give you that quest was a women and she mention the Warden commander .

So...what I have been missing ?

After Cassandra is done with Varric, Cassandra tells Leliana that '' the Champion is gone, just like warden''.

After the Last Straw, last scene before the credits roll.

They didn't generate "false expectations". They merely stated that the Warden was missing. No one said that that particular issue was going to be solved in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and hell no one's even said that it won't be. For all we know, there is content involving the Warden in the game, you just won't get a physical appearance from him/her.

i not accept a state missing i hope see what happen with my protagonist a consistent ending,if he died,if he now is live or retired etc but a state of missing not is a good close for the more important protagonist of franchise.

warden need a state but the solution not is a disappeared state.

At the end of Dragon Age 2, when Cassandra leaves the Hawke estate, Leliana approaches her. Cassandra informs Leliana that Hawke is missing... "just like the Warden."

They will wrap up the fate of the warden when its appropriate for the story they want to tell. It may be in DAI (off-screen) or it may be in DA5.

And you may get that ending or solution.

What do you think BioWare has said about the Warden's potential re-appearance? Have they said: "You will never get any closure ever as far as the Warden/Hero of Ferelden is concerned."? No! Of course they haven't.

They also haven't stated that it wouldn't be resolved, resolution doesn't need to mean an appearance, while that would be nice because I love my Warden as much as the next person..I do expect some information regarding their whereabouts, if alive.  I think we're all wanting to know what happened...

Why should everything be resolved?

Because peoples like closure . But while I don't agree with the OP , I still think Bioware should at least let the fans know if there ever will be anything about the warden in the futur . A new game about her/him , a dlc....some mentioning somewhere..anything . Which beat the silence that have been eating at peoples .

Cassandra mentions at the end of DA2 that the Warden has gone AWOL and wonders if it's linked to Hawke's similar disappearance.

Given that we saw Cass being prone to making wild and grand conspiracy theories about Hawke, based on tenuous connections, it's not surprising that she might jump to the conclusion that their disappearances are somehow related. In reality, I suspect it's more the case that Hawke's simply on the run because people are gunning for them left and right, while the Warden's gone AWOL for some other reason.

I don't even really mind that the Warden's gonna be a no-show while Hawke makes an apperance, since Hawke has way more relevance to what's going on, at least relating to the Chantry situation, as well as Corypheus?

The only thing I could see the Warden even being remotely involved in is Corypheus and some of the Wardens having fallen under his thrall, as well as a Warden who romanced Morrigan being involved with her arc. Aside from that, the Warden has no real business being in DA:I, nor any business they need to do within DA:I to warrant their being there?

Why should the wrap the story up? A mysterious unexplained diappearance is fine. Leave the Warden's fate as one of the great unknowns of Thedas.

if you see a movie you have a decent ending for you protagonist never is aceptable a ending with a state disappeared,if they have plan of kill ok go,if they have plan of continues with him in future games ok go but the protagonist of DAO need a close in the story.

they need close the story but i not accept a state of dissapeared is a solution very easy and mediocre for writers..

For you it is yes, but for many many others it's not okay at all.

well she is a seeker.....

Well if Hawke show up , it may mean they didn't go on the same path Warden + hawke . or maybe Hawke know . (I honestly saw it like Revan + Exile kinda of ending , both going into deep space lol) .

I'll say it again, and this is very important:

Has BioWare said you won't get any closure/resolution as far as the Warden's story is concerned?

Arishok, would you answer this for me?

Arishok: "Sure! The answer is

"

There you have it.
