I was just wondering if for example Cassandra could have a regen potion + fire resistance potion  in her invisible belt thingie.
I don't think you can do that.

I think it's possible, but you have to unlock an additional slot in the 'belt'. In the video there was locked slot right to the heal potion.
Ah, and Mike confirmed KE mages can't use swords.

Hi Mike, the new video shown a weapon named Knight-Enchanter greatsword, does this mean KE mages can use swords?

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

No.

Mike Laidlaw @Mike_Laidlaw

I expect someone named it that after crafting it. Cheeky buggers.

:(

lol... classic trolling.  xD  Well, that's actually a good thing for me because now I don't have to change my starting character's class... again...

I see that Bio is breaking their own lore again with teleporting mages....sigh

Not really, but even so, their lore was written in-world, so it's possible to break it since it wasn't un-biased.

I think they were trying to prevent teleporting around the globe; there are lots of explanations for short distance teleportation like travelling through the ground or being pushed by magic/going super-fast (which is what I think this is) or transforming yourself into vapor and reforming yourself somewhere else.

My favorite part:

Rare two handed weapon "The Whale" - item level 20, required level 9,  239 physical damage.

Versus

Unique mage staff "Staff of the Void" - item level 20, required level 17, 43 electricity damage.

So far all spells and abilities describtions said things like: 150% of weapon damage, 200% of weapon damage, so my question is: WTF?

Is there some other mechanic behind mage damage (maybe magic attribute), because if not, it seems that mages are in the game only to spam barrier and cc things.

I long for the day that melee mages return to DA.

Yeah that was fun in 2 when you hit the enemy with your staff

Crafting and gear customization reminds me of another series I play. This is a good thing.

I understand and agree. Looks very in depth and fun.

It was good. Have us a little bit of info. I prefer the one hour dev sit downs but I guess they also had a game to finish. These are nice hold overs.

Really? Got any screenshots?

I certainly hope magic damage is tied to the magic attribute. If magic damage is based on weapon damage (like in that abomination Diablo 3), I'm not buying this game.

It isn't actually a teleport, which is why I said teleport-y and not teleport. ;)

I think in those screen shots the inquisitor/character was also around level 17-20 so maybe late game the stats look crazy high.  Also to consider normal physical damage need to pass the armor resistance check which all enemies will have while magic doesn't.

I don't know who is narrating but I really dig his soothing, collected tone XD

Those explanation videos are great for players who don't actively follow the game.

Maybe Makkon is the default human name for females and males:

Ok. I hate to be the party pooper but that horse animation was just cringe-worthy. Had to rewind back to see if Bioware was seriously going with that. It seriously looks almost pre-alpha.

The rest is nice.

Where horse?  Must have missed it.

And honestly I wasn't expecting much from mounts.  Probably gonna be walking mostly.

You can see it in Gameplay feature - combat.

For example spell: flashfire - deals 200% weapon damage. Fire mine - 400% weapon damage with activation delay of 3 seconds (so unreliable when there is a lot of movement from the enemy).

From 0:59, to see fire mine you will have to pause at 1:01.

Does anyone know how the magic attribute factors into this?

DId you see that Jar of Bees being used?

Makes me think of the Wicker Man with Nicolas Cage, "Not the bees, NOT THE BEES!"

Malcom's Honour is now called Staff of the Void as well.

I really dislike it when they reuse iconic weapon models.  <_<
