Awesome video! Crafting is definitely going to be my favourite feature in this game.

The green lyrium reminds me of an old theory I had about different color lyrium.  Don't remember the details, but it was about the different races having different origin energy sources or something.  Dwarves were attached to red lyrium and they originally worshipped it, but then it got out of control and they cut themselves off from it, resulting in no dreams or dwarven magic.  Elves had a hypothetical green lyrium (which now might exist) and losing contact with it resulted in loss of their immortality, etc, but somehow they were also able to tap into blue lyrium and the Fade due to their magic adaptability (or deliberately switched to it) so they retained magic.  Blue lyrium was a human energy, and the only one not sealed off in a major way.  If I were to add to this, maybe Qunari have purple lyrium.

 

I'm going to have so much fun with the crafting, it used to bug me so much when I really liked an armor or weapon but it became useless after a while. 

 

And beeesss...  Little fuzzy striped agents of the Inquisition!

 

And male elfquisitor, I see you!    My Lavellan is going to be a whole lot darker, but it's very good to see more faces! It's also nice to see those ears pop away from behind the hair clearly, huzzah!

It looks great. Why strength and constitution on a rogue coat though? Surely dexterity would have been a better stat?

Probably depends on the materials we choose.

I don't think that is an envy demon. The quest goal is to confront "the envy demon" but that could just be a demon we fight in that castle. We have seen them before in other videos.

It is an envy demon.

 

 

You can see it's health bar being depleted and above it is it's name.

Last I heard, no dyes or anything like them. The materials you use to craft it determine coloration.

I'm not big on bees irl either -- Certainly not in video games, like in Snake Eater where The Pain would attack you with bullet bees and other ridiculous weaponry consisting mainly of bees. It's funny to attack enemies with bee-combs though. This looks like to be a fun little grenade to have.

I long for the day that melee mages return to DA.

 

Eh? They can't use default swords, but they summon their own.

 

Both Mike and Patrick confirmed that KE are the melee Mages. Patrick through a tweet, and Mike, during the combat Q&A, said that KE bypass armor restrictions(through crafting i think, not sure exactly how), and weapon restrictions with the summoned swords.
