This is far more likely than her being a Desire Demon. Nothing at all suggests she is a demon at all. Heck, she wants to be FREED of her mortal coil, whereas other demons all want to experience what the mortal word has.

Exactly.  Wynne says that one of the differences between spirits and demons is that demons want to come into our world and control us and whatnot, and benevolent spirits are content where they are.

An elven state in Arlathan would be a dream come true for Tevinter.

I bet they would actually laugh out loud.

The Grand Oak Tree makes reference to the disappearance of the spirit of the forest, which I suspect was the spirit who became the Lady of the Forest. I wonder if there are spirits in Dales who still reside within the wilderness.

but we don't now what manner of spirit this was

I don't mean to say that it was for certain a demon, but given what it was used for it could have easily been corrupted into one

Didn't one of the devs say that there are other Dryads? If so, it would be cool to see another one, though hopefully they are as friendly as the Lady of the Forest was.

I believe so. It would be interesting if there were Dryads to encounter in the Dales, who might be tied into elven lore.

Do you mean dryads in the greek sense or just as a general nature spirit?

Is it weird that I think of the Fall of the Dales when I read Fire and Ice? I don't mean this as a slight against the Dalish, I just think it's evocative. And kind of foreboding.

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Anywho, I heard a rumor that Inquisition will have two Dalish clans. Not sure if it's true, but it may be quite interesting to see two different clans, and possibly see how they react similarly and differently to various Inquisitors (qunari, dwarf, human, fellow elf)

It could be like Origins, where a Dalish Warden sees their own clan and then Zathrian's/Lanaya's.

It'll be interesting anyway. I really hope there's no option to slaughter them this time. :?

I hope they react differently based on who is in your party. It was weird having them say I had humans with me in Origins when I was a dwarf running around with the dog, shale, and Oghren.

That would be cool. Having Varric, Iron Bull, Solas or Sera in your party playing as a non-human may be interesting.

Especially if Sera/Solas are in the party. I was always a little disappointed that the Dalish had no unique dialogue with Zev or Fenris.

Well Fenris had a little thing with the dalish guard right? Although that was more of a reaction from him than a dialogue.

Zev has a couple~

Sarel: "Forgive me, Grey Warden. It is... most difficult to forget the lessons the shemlen have taught us."
Zevran: "It is even more difficult when you live amongst them, trust me."

If you're playing a DE, you get the campfire scene and Zevran introduces himself: "Zevran here. We have Dalish up in Antiva City, though they're much more violent, I hear."

It probably consists of a lot of berries, nuts, and wild vegetables which they can forage, and then whatever type of meat they can poach. They would probably also have a diet rich in fat, since they live outdoors all year, and that means living through some cold winters. They would use the milk from domesticated animals (in their case it appears to be exclusively Halla), to produce different kinds of cheese and other dairy products.

Ah, I'd forgotten about those. Although, those are still him reacting to them, rather than them reacting to him. I was hoping they'd have more to say to a city elf. The first comment would've been perfect for a brief dialogue between him and Sarel on the subject. That would also give us an extra insight on a Dalish elf's thoughts on city elves, and Zevran's own thoughts about human/elf relations.

The Dalish Camp reacts differently to a City Elf or a Circle Elf, so I suppose that the developers thought that they had that side covered. I agree, in fact. Two possible non-Dalish elven origins are more than enough to show it without needing to repeat themselves with a companion.
