Thanks to Xil's suggestion, I've made this group private to avoid trolls looking at our threads.  I originally made the group public so that fellow elves and elf supporters who scan through the various groups on BSN would see this group.  I'll admit, it was a double-edged sword, but perhaps the risk is too great to keep it public, so, to be on the safe side, we are now a private group.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are members of the Cliche.

The Clique. It's a collection of the board's most prolific and unpleasant members. Sort of like a small forum-based Mafia.

It's a group of trolls that mostly hang out on the Lobby forums where they can't get banned (mods hardly ever go there).  One of the trolls that frequented the Elven Support Thread (the one who had the quote in their sig that mentioned the Cliche) is one of them.  Silver Moone, TheLittleBird, Evenaar, Eliana Rose, and Naesaki have all had run-ins with the Cliche too, and we all knew someone who turned out to be part of the Cliche.  Trust me when I say that when they set their sights on a thread, it's not going to last long.

That's true,I've ran into tons of those on YT.But these forum trolls are almost just as bad,their numbers are increasing

Not exactly surprising, tbh.  With all the DA:I hype, there's bound to be people making accounts on BSN.  After DA:I launches, the number of people jumping onto the forums will start to dwindle until the ME4 hype starts up.  When that happens, the DA forums will be almost deserted and more people will be jumping onto BSN again.

 

Before all the DA:I hype started, the ME forums were more active than the DA ones, though it was mostly the MP section.  That's likely what's going to happen with the DA forums until the ME4 hype gets going.  Until then, the majority of the trolls are going to stick to the DA forums because they're more active.

They should make that a special order of distinction: Is hated by the wors trolls of BSN

 

Edit: Remember that the mods ARE biased. One of the devs themselves appeared in one thread to spread vitriol for the adb in a bad attempt to be funny.

I remember that, the joke wasn't even funny, I still don't know why that person thought it would be a good idea to post it. I don't think antagonizing people that are fans of your product makes a lot of sense business wise.

More seriously, I've been a little exhausted with the ADB on the public forums, along with my frustrations over the lack of moderation until a thread gets too out of control (leading to a lockdown), so there hasn't been too much incentive to stick around BSN, and I've been focused on some other interests in real life.

 

I'm glad pro-elven fans have a place where they can discuss topics civilly without things getting derailed.
