As a matter of fact, can we let BioWare and Microsoft Studios work on Mass Effect like they did on the 1st one? Please! Does Mass Effect really need EA to be a good game? No.
Go ahead, call me a hater. (sigh)

I wouldn't call you a hater at all. However, EA is more than BioWare's publisher. They own BioWare as a company. So, unless that changes, EA will be behind every BioWare game.

This. Bought and paid for. This game will likely never be sold...along with any other bioware title. EA would sooner close the studio's doors and shelve the games forever than let anyone else make the games.
Always blaming EA. EA already owned BW when Mass Effect 1 was released. (granted, it was wel in development before that, but EA has been on every issue)

There, fixed.

Put that crack pipe down. Now!
To be another cynic, BioWare is more of a brand name now rather than a company.
If EA gave the rights to Microsoft, I would never play Mass Effect again.

The refuse ending?

There are two ways to approach it, but which path will I choose?

Shoot the X-box disc?
Shoot the X-box disc?
Well, it would most possibly be ONLY for eckbawks. I'll shoot the disc in the head with a carnifex to solve my problems...

Sure, just buy out Bioware shares. Why you would sell them to Microsoft is still obscure to me, but go ahead - it's your money.
You might have to make an offer they can't refuse, though. Just saying.

When ME1 was first announced I remember reading somewhere that it was x-box exclusive so I didn't pay anymore attention to it and went back to playing -- hell, whatever it was I was playing at the time. It wasn't until I bought it at a christmas steam sale that I even knew it had been ported to PC. Got me thinking there's a definite possibility there... but Microsoft would be cutting out a big portion of their customer base. Mind you, EA's not innocent of cutting out the PC crowd either.
I agree
Im not exactly and EA fan but Mass effects problems arent their fault
A lot of the creative decisions and the lack of planning falls squarely on the people actually making the games. However, EA did have a part to play, indirect as it may have been. The creation of SWTOR which absorbed much of the experienced talent and the rushed development schedule are likely the result of EA.

I think I've seen it posted on these forums in the past that EA pushed ME3 for an earlier release to meet some quarterly something financial something. It was put more convincingly than what I just said though...
ME3 did feel very rushed with a lot of unused dialogues, scenarios, and original script as proof. If ME3 came out this year or last year, I think it would have been a much better game.
EA's fiscal year ends in March which is when ME3 was delayed to after it wasn't going to make the original 2011 holiday release.

Thank god it didn't release in 2011. Still, the time frame between the release of 2 and 3 were too close, and taking into account on how many scenarios this game gives, I think we all should have seen the flaws coming in fast.
Okay, that's kinda awesome. ![]()
EA likes to put resources into multiplier and graphics. Mass Effect does not need multiplayer to be good, and not every single texture needs to be shiny to look good. In fact, Mass Effect 1, and most of 2 are a masterpiece. And 3, while good, is still severely lacking. Yes Microsoft is not perfect, but it is way better than EA. Dragon Age suffered the same problem -- it was doing fine until EA came along. Origins was a masterpiece, then EA came along and look how Dragon Age II turned out, a shell of what it could have been. I know the EA bought Mass Effect right around the time of when 1 was being developed, but by that time 1 was nearly completed. I am certain that EA has a silver lining... it is probably very thin... If anyone from BioWare is reading this, please tell EA to give you guys some breathing room.
