Hey guys LOVE this game but i have a few techy questions so hopefully an engineer shepard or tali can help me out.

I noticed that the lip speed is a lot faster on my pc i am running windows 7. I have a Saphire Radeon R9 280X for a graphics card and it runs great but i think its running it at a higher frame rate then the game was designed.

Was the game designed to be locked at 30 fps for consoles? Just curious i really don't mind just sold my XBOX forever ago and want a great mass effect experience.

PS. LOVE the pc UI Thanks EA and bioware!

I am not sure if it was supposed to be locked.  ME2 and ME3 on pc are locked capped at 62, with vsync enabled by default.

I think I run vsync in ME1 usually or else I get too much tearing.  So mine runs around 60 most of the time (except for occasional chug).

I mostly noticed the chug going between areas and exiting conversations to walking around. Particularly on the citadel.

Then again if we take off the rose tinted nostalgia glasses ME1 wasn't entirely smooth on the xbox either.

I never played it on xbox so I don't know.  I agree it is mainly around "invisible" loads where there is some chug.  Even on an SSD (even though the load screen times are cut).

I think a lot of issues are sound related as well.  This game is made for older hardware and doesn't play nice with many newer pc audio chipsets.

I also get massive fps drop if I tab out, then back into the game for about 20 seconds.

20 seconds? I used to get like 5 seconds on my old pc. Haven't installed ME on the new one yet.

I'm cured I tell, cured!
