I'm curious to see if this can be used as a measuring stick to reflect player skill to some extent. Or if just on a long enough time line it all just evens out with people playing easier difficulty levels. But I can't imagine many BSN'er are playing below gold now-a-days so perhaps it's not that big a factor

Define average. Average over how many games/time in the past? Also, only with pugs, pugs&friends, only friends...?
Any way you define it, it won't be a good measure of skill, but still...
i have been following my ME3 gaming stats (n° of games and duration per week) for quite some time now, at start for controlling my addiction 
. So my mean time per game is 21 min, and roughly always between 20 and 25 min (including solos). I am unsure if the "manifest" keeps track of unsuccessfull games, which should have make thoses mean duration more longer.
Anyway, it clarly depends if U pug plat or play gold with friends...
20-22 mins (although I've been having quite a lot of sub-20s with all randoms)

That feels about right.
Average Gold time is mid to early 20's. Average Platinum time would be in the medium to late 20's. 30's if there are some slight struggles. 40+ and I'm gone!

Although, I don't think this stat means much tbh. I (used to) play a lot of platinum, I solo a lot and I rage quit even more.. all of those affect the overall time per game.

According to my manifest - 23 minutes and 48 seconds. Although that might be higher than my actual average time with pugs or friends because I've done a lot of fairly long solos.

Well, according to that, I'm around 18 mins / game, with 2800 games and 850 hours. Which doesn't seem too far from my perception, actually. Still, I wouldn't even think about measuring "skills" in that way.
19.88 but it is in reality much higher than that. I have had a lot of trial and short challenge completing matchs that were only a few waves.
I play mostly gold pugs i would guess in most cases around 25 for an average. Not many real short games.
23 minutes for me. That said, I don't think this time can be used to measure skills, since it depends on the proportion of B/S/G/P games played, if it is with friends or PUGs, the number of solos done, the characters and level of consumables used, etc. There are too many variables for this average time to have any meaning.

It does track failed missions, but it does not track the games & their time for when you get disconnected for any reason.
The last 10 months or so I've only been pugging platinum to max my manifest. And I realized that it didn't bump my avarage time up much at all. Like 21-23 min golds vs 25-28 min plat with the odd 30+ min when you go down a person.
But I think the conversation I was having was suggesting that causual(bronze/silver) players match times would still be near skilled players playing on Gold/Platinum. That's what we noticed on respective friends manifests. There's no controls for this and was basically just wondering. Especially if failures count as "games". The time fluctuation I'm seeing is also interesting.

Just bleed out on wave 1. Best as I can tell, Ragequits and DCs are the same due to not getting any credits.
If ragequits counted, my average time would be 10 minutes from "UGH, NO, I'M OUT!" moments.
