Once again I find my self back on these forums after a long time of absence from here but today there is one thing we can all be happy about. Dragon age 3 is coming out next month and that means there is a new game that we are going to waste countless hours on for next couple months or weeks. I know some people pass the game once or twice and leave it but there are those of us who passed Origins and DA2 more or less 20 times so with the new title coming out next month there is a S#%& load of work ahead of us. I for example started a fresh new play through of Origins as a mage arcane warrior I am not going to go in the details but I completed the game and all the DLC's 100%.

I just finished playing DA2 as a mage Hawke with the save imported from the last one and I am waiting to import that b&#$* in to Inquisition as soon as I get it. I really took my time playing those last two games in last couple months I got Hawke and the party to like level 28 this time and just owned everyone hard. I can't wait to try Inquisition nightmare mode I'm going to play nightmare from start anyway.

I have a suggestion though who would like to see Dragon Age Origins redone with the new Frostbite engine? They might as well upgrade all the dark-spawn models with new ones  and the combat too.

Lastly I would like to see how others are preparing for the release of DA3.

I don't intend on using the keep unless the imports are so broken it's not playable.

I don't believe you can direct import your choices, you have to use the Keep for that.

You can't import direct. Even if you don't use the Keep to modify world states, you'll need to go through it or take default world state.

The Devs pretty much confirmed this. The only imports possible are through the Keep.

There are no save game imports. Without the Keep you will only be able to play in the default world state. So if you want to see if your decisions in the previous games mattered you will have to use the Keep.

Well I just got back here like 2 days ago so I am not really startled by yet another disappointment from Bioware.

It's not a disappointment at all; it's a remarkable achievement and a clever solution to all the import issues they've had in the past, not to mention the difficulties involved in cross-platform importing.

Once you see the Keep, you'll understand; you'll be able to import ALL your decisions into DAI.

I couldn't have said it better myself, I agree with this very much.

Thank you, I think I'll save the link to your post and post it every time someone says they're disappointed by no direct importing. The Keep fixes sooooooo many issues

You know OP's reaction towards the Keep/no import is quite fascinating since they've been away and only just heard the news. I can imagine this will be the reaction most people will experience when they pop in the game day one and realize there isn't a "Import character" selection on the screen.
