What alignments are you planning for your Inquisitors?

If you're not familiar with alignments here's an explanation:

"Alignment is a tool for developing your character's identity. It is not a straitjacket for restricting your character. Each alignment represents a broad range of personality types or personal philosophies."

Chaotic evil

Hmm...but more seriously, maybe Lawful Evil. Lavellan's not going to take any prisoners, she will see this threat vanquished at any costs.

Especially love Loghain's line "I will brook no threat to this nation from you or anyone!"

My first one, the female Qunari Warrior, will probably be some sort of true neutral. Moral Neutral, I guess. Though she'll be a bit of a mercenary persona, and will probably try to act like a worse person than she actually is.

My elf Inquisitor...dunno. My Warden was very neutral good, so I suppose for variety's sake Inquisitor will fall into a more Lawful Neutral mindset.

I don't know if I can even play a character that isn't neutral good. Maybe a little chaos thrown in sometimes.

Classic Loghain... he had some of the best dialogue in DA:O, although there was a whole lot of great dialogue in that game...

Human inq is on the good spectrum still working it out...

But my dalish inq is more fleshed out; nuetral good because he looks out for those he cares about and serve with him but believes that helping all the time robbes people of overcoming adversity :)

Hipster!Cadash scoffs at your "alignment" charts. She doesn't believe in labels, man.

I feel like "alignment" is way too confining since life, circumstances, and morality doesn't always fit neatly in a little box.

Take Alistair for example. He may be generally hard-up on rules and duty, but he has a serious chaotic streak when it comes to religion. He was considered a nuissance in the monestary because single-minded devotion to religion didn't appeal to him, and often broke rules or made noise just to liven things up. Even now, he'll gladly bend or discard rules when it comes to religion (like in Redcliffe, being willing to lie about the bracelets being blessed by the Maker to boost morale) even though he's hard-up on duty when it comes to being a Grey Warden and possible King.

So, how do you classify him? Lawful good because he's generally a stickler for rules even though he's not so when it comes to religion, or neutral good since he's mostly lawful with a noticeable chaotic streak when it comes to religion?

With that said, my Elf Inquisitor's morality and decision-making might come close to Neutral Good. She'll generally try to be a good person and help others, but won't necessarily note or discard laws while doing it. (On the other hand, she'll probably follow Dalish morals and rules.)

Spoiler

I totally agree with that. That's the problem I have with most....things (lol I can't come up with the word, just bear with me here :P ) They tend to make people and their motives very one-dimensional. People are way too complex for for a 3 by 3 grid to allow for.

Then again, its just a fun little thing to occupy your time with. I don't take much stock in them as I usually don't put much thought into my game characters (I only think and plan out characters for my writing)

Yeah, it's just a fun thing, like Meyers Brigg or whatever. Definitely not the most accurate way of categorizing people, haha.

OH NO WHATS MY QUIZZIE'S MB TYPE?

Hrmmm...maybe ESFP

ESFP - The Performer

People-oriented and fun-loving, they make things more fun for others by their enjoyment. Living for the moment, they love new experiences. They dislike theory and impersonal analysis. Interested in serving others. Likely to be the center of attention in social situations. Well-developed common sense and practical ability.

(from here, if you want it)

-snip-

Hm... this makes my Inquisitor seem extremely boring, but w/e... the best match is...

ISTJ - The Duty Fulfiller

Serious and quiet, interested in security and peaceful living. Extremely thorough, responsible, and dependable. Well-developed powers of concentration. Usually interested in supporting and promoting traditions and establishments. Well-organized and hard working, they work steadily towards identified goals. They can usually accomplish any task once they have set their mind to it.

:(  A fun list, but that sounds boring...

^ Duty oriented people are interesting, too.

Miy Inquisitor is probably:

ENFP - The Inspirer

Enthusiastic, idealistic, and creative. Able to do almost anything that interests them. Great people skills. Need to live life in accordance with their inner values. Excited by new ideas, but bored with details. Open-minded and flexible, with a broad range of interests and abilities.

I prefer the Chaotic alignments because I'm more of a chaotic person myself  :P

My first Inquisitor (Lin'Mi) will be Chaotic Good, my second Inquisitor (m!Qunari -hander warrior named Tal-Shok, trans: "true striggle') will be Chaotic Neutral.  Not sure about my third Inquisitor (f!Cadash archer rogue, no name yet), tbh.

EDIT: Fixed my f!Cadash's fighting style.  How'd I mix up archer for dual-wield?

*snips*

Everyone has thought so much further ahead than I have.  :P

My conceptual first Inquisitor (female Qunari warrior) fits pretty well with the ESTP, I guess.

Spoiler

My second elven Inquisitor...I have no clue. All I really know I'm gonna do with her is try to differentiate her from my Warden as much as I can, as they'd very easily end up being similar. Warden was probably an ISFJ, (The Protector) so Inquisitor...ENTP, 'the visionary,' I guess.

My First Levallan (yes, pun intended ) will be a goody no-shoes (also an intended pun ) in most matters, but when nececery, she will break laws, but she will try and avoid bloodshed and hurting innocents as much as possible. So, I guess she counts as a Neutral Good.

Well, I recently decided to play as a mage rather than a warrior, so I've been thinking of a new background for this character, and that means a different alignment... I think I will go with a True Neutral character this time.
