I'm not gonna dump half a grand on a monitor. I don't need anything fancy. Here's my current monitor:

For what do you use it?

Gaming? Digital art? There's lots of differences between monitors, IPS or TFT display, frame refreshrate, btb response times, resolutions, etc. pp..

Yeah. It's a good thing not to go nutz and get the biggest thing on the market.

A 20"-23" Samsung monitor works greatly.

Try to find a 2ms, 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 monitor. Preferably not-shiny ones (should be Anti-Glare). Avoid 4k monitor crap, no graphic card can play games on it and it's a waste of resources... and anything lower than 1080.

This is what I have.

It is a decent IPS panel for a very reasonable price. Bought it when it was on sale for $380 around the winter holiday season.

Like other IPS and PLS monitors, it is not as fast as those "gaming" grade TN monitors, but I'm quite picky about display quality.

If I had sh*tloads of money I would still be satisfied to buy this:

Well then.

Whatever you buy, get three of them.

This is my favorite monitor. I bought it 2 years ago and it hasn't failed me yet.

A GPU having 4GB VRAM doesn't mean much.

I just have my computer hooked up to my television.  It's great, because it's way bigger than any monitor on the market.

Of course, I only use that computer for gaming and videos.  I use my laptop for everything else, including graphics applications.
