He sounds a lot like some Roman units from TW: Rome 2 to me:

Hmm, sounds pretty gravelly at that point... I think when Blackwall said, "Don't waste time on them, head for the castle", his voice seemed a little clearer. But you know, when people are yelling, they all kinda sound the same.
The Roman Units sound like Owen Teale to me, but Sheryl Chee already said that Blackwall is not voiced by him.
I watched the demo with BW in it and I heard his voice clearly, imo he sounds like Alastair Parker. Just listen to BW in the demo carefully and then Alistairs video.
Demo-
Alastair Parker-
You can hear Blackwall at around 1:20, btw.
Anyone got a clip of Richard Armitage
I'm almost certain it's not Mark Meer, I mean you can hide your native accent to a general (non-cockney) English one but then have it yorkshire or nothern (I can't be sure because I don't live in those areas) is unlikely?
Here's a nice, clear video of Richard Armitage and his normal speaking voice.
It's so hard to tell from such a small piece of dialogue, but it does sound close enough that it could be Richard Armitage... but it could be Alistair Parker as well...or it could be someone else entirely. I would really love for the Armitage theory to pan out though.
Oh my god. Blackwall DOES sound like Richard Armitage!
We can only hope for Tim Curry. /sadface
I would be careful assuming that it's a big surprise just because we don't know who it is yet. I mean, have fun with all the wild theories
But there are lots of reasons his VA might not be announced yet, and they could be as mundane as "let's try not to spoil everything" or "oh, bother, did we do that yet? we should I guess--OOOH TACO!"
At this point, I'm thinking it pretty much HAS to be a well-known actor. Why else would they reveal all the other VAs and leave us guessing with Blackwall? I certainly hope it's Richard Armitage ![]()
Soooooooon
If he is voiced by Sean Bean, he has no choice. Its the law.
Don't worry its not Sean Bean
Martin Odum hasn't died ![]()

I think with the continuous low-level speculation and a few hundred tweeted requests for spoilers, the reveal is probably not delayed due to forgetfulness. Out of a cast of 12 companions and advisers, leaving only one a secret is a bit inadequate if the only intention is to let a few surprises remain for launch. Why reveal any of the new ones at all? Let returning VAs names be known so fans know Cullen, Leliana, Morrigan, and Varric won't sound different, but if leaving a few spoilers in was what they had in mind, why only one mystery?
Edit: 2000 posts? I talk a lot.
I don't know if anyone noticed, this but on Blackwall's official character profile on the Inquisition website (http://www.dragonage.com/#!/en_US/news/character-profile-blackwall), Sheryl Chee said "And I would love to say more [about Blackwall], but I won't. Ask me again in October."
Well, it's October.... has anyone asked her more about Blackwall? I don't have a Twitter, but maybe someone could ask her who the VA is...? ![]()
That interview was written before the delay. Good luck getting info from Sheryl Chee. She is adamant about spoilers.

She's been asked - a lot. Let's have fun speculating, but not drive the devs nuts asking for information they're not at liberty to discuss.
And suddenly you realize...
It certainly is tough with such a small piece of dialogue. But the accent's not a match for Richard Armitage, at least. So if it is him, he's putting on a Northern accent.

El Topo Chico was almost Blackwall's voice actor. BioWare wanted me to grow a beard for the role in order to really experience what it is like to be a bearded man, but I said no. I would never do that to my fans.
Anyway, El Topo Chico suspects that BioWare has an awesome video in the works, revealing my nemesis (the one who got the role instead of me).
I think he sounds like Stephen "Stannis Baratheon" Dillane ![]()
I still think it's Bernard Hill (Theoden from LOTR).

You're a man of the people, El Topo Chico.
Of course there's no need to release VA names prior to launch. That's why they posted YouTube interviews with some of them. People don't really care about the information, that's why they're checking the forums a month before the game's out to see if there's any news.
My guess is that Blackwall's VA is a special treat. One the forums are going to explode over when his name's revealed. I suspect it's Richard Armitage. His age and accent are the exact ones listed in the casting notes, and Blackwall's appearance is remarkably similar to the actor with Thorin beard and hair. Especially the eyes/brows and the small hollows under the cheekbones. It could be a coincidence, but as long as I'm speculating, I might as well be optimistic.
Please. Please no. My loins can't take it. Ooooh, Mr Thornton, ooooooh!
You mean Mr. Thorin.
Perhaps she was expressing her enjoyment of the works of Billy Bob Thornton.
