I know we've had dwarven reavers before in-game, but we know how the game likes to do things it's own way... I was thinking from a lore perspective. Is the current way of becoming a reaver just drinking the dragon/wyvern blood? Or is there an element of blood magic still involved (a ritual is mentioned)?
I'm just wondering, as i'm planning one of my Inquisitors, and being forced into having a carta-dwarf has changed my pre-planned view of him lol
Can dwarves be Reavers?

A true reaver is anyone who has drank the blood of a live dragon. There is no more to it than that.
I have the feeling the quest to unlock the Reaver spec is going to be interesting, to say the least.

Yeah, despite Reavers being similar to a type of blood magic, Dwarves are still able to become Reavers without any problems. Similarly, Dwarves are still able to become use Templar abilities effectively, despite their having a natural resistance to lyrium compared to most other races.
Although I suspect that there's probably going to be a quest-related way to unlock those specs, similar to Origins.

Wyvern blood also works.
Instead of receiving it from some creepy cultist, it'd be nice if we actually hunted down the drake/dragon ourselves.

I suspect that's what we'll have to do. Mind, we might not have to kill the overgrown lizard. Just injure it enough to get some blood. Or maybe we'll have to track down a black market seller or something. (that would be disappointing)

Urgh no, I don't want second hand blood! Here drakey drakey drakey.
Mind you, I'd never do it to any lizards I keep as pets.

I don't see why not. Dwarves were able to become Templars and Reavers in DA:O.

There's a difference between a pet lizard and a giant fire-breathing dragon though.
I would not harm this:
But this? Bring it down! Bring it down!

But what if I can tame it? I'd never want to hurt it. D=

Funny you should mention that. There's speculation going around that it will be possible to tame a dragon in Inquisition because of this picture.

I wonder...

If we can tame a dragon I will definitely roleplay Daenerys Targaryen.

Well the Haven cultists had a friendly relationship with a high dragon and the codex says this is based on mutual protection. They were helping guard and protect her eggs and young, so when they used the horn to call her down, presumably she was not aggressive. If you don't use the horn, you can pass by her, but if you call her down, no doubt she can smell the blood of her children on you and doesn't recognise you as one of the cultists.
There is a brief glimpse of a dragon standing with head lowered in front of the Inquisitor in the Enemy of Thedas clip, so may be it is possible to be on good terms with at least one dragon.

Wyvern blood also works.
Considering Kolgrim didn't have a single wyvern nearby, but did have tons of dragons, I'm going to guess that was just a mistake on the writers part.
