Sten: I'd love to see how he's evolved since fighting alongside the Warden. I'm curious about how the experience helped to shape his worldview and if he has become anything like te Arishok from DA2 or if he has a more flexible mind now.

Oghren: I hate him. I stopped recruiting him after my first play through. It's like he was just there to be offensive or to be the token drunk. Neither I which appealed to me. Then he turned into the class clown in top of that in DA:A which just made him stupid.

Sigrun: I loved her. She was a bit more upbeat, curious about the surface and fascinated about learning new ways to do what she did best. She was a genuine character and I could empathize with her.

Aveline: I would be interested to see how the Guard Captain had been doing. Aveline is not one to ignore her duty and I'm curious to see if she felt a calling to aid in the Mage/Templar war, I she'd built the Kirkwall Guard into a small army to defend the city after the Qunari and Mage/Templar fallout, or if she's actually taken some time off to become a mother.

Fenris: Stupid emo elf. Side with an anti Mage sentiment? He's angry. Side with a Mage? He's angry. His character development goes from dark and broody to dark and broody but with a plot leash that keeps him around unless you hand him back to his magister. He's the Dragon Age version of Ol' Yeller (spelled for prununciation not for actual spelling). No matter what, he always ends up gettin meaner and meaner except when he's in an emo blubbering scene.

 

Well hell, if we're adding Awakening:

 

Want to see - Velanna, with Sigrun a close second.

Do NOT want to see - Anders

I'd like to see Bethany and Velanna again. I don't hate them, but I wouldn't miss Zevran and Fenris.

 

You reminded me of how much I couldn't stand Carver. What a prig.

I'd like to see Anders, Fenris, Isabela, Sten, Zevran (not happening, but still...), Nathaniel, Sigrun, Merrill and Aveline. The only companion I don't want to see is Sebastian, unless my Inquisitor gets a crotch-kick interrupt, then I don't mind him making an appearance.

Sten, Merrill, Isabela, Aveline, Anders and Sigrun. Maybe Fenris as well.

And I guess I'm not bothered about Oghren or Tallis really, but I wouldn't mind if they were in it. Also Bethany/Carver im not really too sure because I would love to see Bethany but if we can't change their appearance to match DA2 I would rather they didn't bother with them.

I forgot about Hawke's siblings. I've only played Mage in DA2 but I actually liked Carver. I understood his feelings and building tensions to then find a respect at the end was good character arcs for both Hawke and carver.

Tallis....not.

The only one I can think of not wanting to see is oghren. Anders is dead so I doubt I'll be seeing him anyway

One companion I'd like to see return is Merrill. One, because I like her. Two, because of the elven rebellion. Three, because of the Eluvian involvement (elves and also Morrigan's). Four, because I can play a Dalish elf again. Five, because I want her to meet Solas and Cole.

 

The companion I don't want to meet is Oghren. Didn't want him in Origins. Didn't want him in Awakening. I'd be happy not to see him again. The only appearance I'd accept is if he were with a Warden delegation that included every other Awakening Warden.

In hindsight, I'm finding myself disliking Isabela just as much as Anders. In Anders case, you can atleast vouch that his personality got corrupted, but Isabela indirectly causes a bunch of death and destruction in the second Act just because she couldn't be bothered to return the tome.

I would love to see or hear from Isabela again, but I doubt it since she's already been in two games ;.; Fenris or Merrill would also be a pleasant surprise, same with shale.

Morrigan and Leliana are my favorite characters in DA:O, along with Zevran, so I'm glad they'll play an important role, but it's already been confirmed that Zevran won't appear. But well, we can't have everything!
