Well, they have removed the leaked artbook thread, so I'll be able to stay here for a while longer

Ok, artbook topic is up, so from now- blackout for me, because some spoilers may spread over other topics. This is sad, because damn- I really like this forum and I spend most of my time here. I think I'm addicted to this place. Well, artbook leak is a good excuse to "cure" this addiction.
EDIT: Artbook thread removed? Oh, good! But spoilers still can be spread accidentally by some people. I won't take the risk.

That actually makes me worry more lol, it means more chance someone will discuss it outside of that thread. Its out there now and isn't going to go away. ![]()

Lol, lucky you. Just think of those that got on the hype-train known as ME3 and got driven off the cliff known as the "ME3 ending".
I was blindsided by the ending as well, but objectively the media/information blackout did me far more good. Even discounting having the pre-ending story completely unspoiled for me (and the pre-ending story was wonderful), I was also able to approach the game on its own terms instead of what the devs promised it would be. I feel BioWare promised far more for ME3 in marketing than they could ever deliver, and they promised other things that really didn't pan out. So not knowing anything the rachni mission in ME3 was more than enough for me on the subject of the rachni, as I didn't get my hopes up with BW saying it would have "huge consequences for the ending."
In general, I prefer to have no specific expectations of a game whatsoever before playing it, and media blackouts only help with that.

Hmm so I get on BSN, see the art thread, refresh and it's gone, that was fast o.O but I think this may push my disappearance closer or at least avoid certain parts of the forums.

I will be leaving now. Managed to avoid the achievements (was a close call). But now we got an art book on the loose and I don't want to risk it.
I wish all who want to remain spoiler free good luck and I will see you all after I've finished the game.

its taking all my will and restraint to avoid looking up the artbook.
GAAAAAH
Edit: mission failure. i looked it up. I only found a few images, but they weren't spoler-y. just some people are "guessing" about who someone is

I can't bring myself to not follow things. I just can't. I love spoilers. I love seeing what's there. I cannot resist temptation... I would make a terrible nun, I think.

I remember someone posting Mass Effect 2 spoilers when the game had a pirate copy for Xbox 360 before release. The things that were spoilt were:

I recently saw a spoiler for the upcoming WoW expansion and was pretty upset that I saw it in a place I had not been expecting to see spoilers.
Forums are actually the one thing I'd like most to avoid, as the negativity always becomes rampant in the lead-up and then follows strongly after release (this is true even for games that have been highly praised like BG2 or DAO).
I probably won't come here at all after release until I'm done playing. I'm planning to jot down some notes as I play so I can write a relatively thorough review about various features, and once I've posted that I will wade into the forums again to see what everyone else is saying about the game.

Sometime after i finish playing DAI. Seriously, reading about the game finding out some of the events really doesn't bother me. I don't go searching for spoilers, but I like to know more details about some of the events in the game.

I'm starting it now, since apparently people got their hands on the art book, and have posted story spoilers in the Twitter thread. I didn't read any of it, but that was too close for comfort. I'm peacing out as of today.
