I'll probably play three different playthroughs one right after the other. Then I might let it rest for awhile... it'll be beginning of 2015 by then. I'll play the MP with friends perhaps. Then, slowly, gradually, (hopefully) some modding might start to appear. It will take awhile if this happens at all. But if mods do come out, that will absolutely rekindle my interest, and I'll play it for another year or so.
How long will you play?

For about 50 billion years, because according to the scientists thats when the universe will start to expand so fast that matter and time will get ripped apart.

If the game is as good as DAO (or, hopefully, better) than I'll play it for years to come.

It's all about enjoyment isn't it. I've palyed DAo through half a dozen times when it was new and again for a really completionist cannon save to import to DA2 after I got that. I've played DA2 far more than that because I like it better as a game despite some of it's well mentioned shortcomings. Dragon Age so far have been very replayable (if that's even a word) and I hope DAI continues that tradition

If it's as good as it looks right now, probably for several years, off and on.
Till I get arthritis.
You can game with arthritis, especially if it hasn't hit your hands yet. ![]()

A very silly question. I shall play this game over and over gain until the next bioware game comes out. Even then, the dragon age games are my most replayed game so I imagine I'll be replaying DA: I till the next dragon age game comes out.

I have a process for all Bioware games. Play it, love everything, come to the forums and complain over the pointless trivial things in the game and be bitter towards people who disagree. Rinse and repeat Thus the cycle continues.

I believe that sums up the BSN in general. ![]()

Indeed. Someone needs to hold up the long honored tradition of cynical pessimist who refuse to be happy despite how good they have it.

Until The Witcher 3 comes out. And I'm sure I'll do another playthrough before Dragon Age 4 (or whatever title it'll have).

Some peoples played Baldur's Gate for 10years . I plan on doing the same..or until they make a new game but otherwise , I'm ditching MMO and focus on DAI and Vromanceeeee
Hey, I'm still playing Baldur's Gate 20 years after its release (still waiting on the release of the Aklon romance mod). For me, Baldur's Gate series has proved the most replayable, value-for-money series of all with the addition of player-made mods. ![]()
Generally I've found the first playthrough is always the longest (unless you rush through and leave the in-depth for the second run), because you're taking longer to discover and explore all these new things and places. Successive playthroughs can still be thorough, but they rarely take up as much time unless the course you take is more involved, so it's not as if you can do the maths assuming that all playthroughs will take roughly the same amount of time. IMO, anyway.

I'm a huge RPG fan (only with good stories and characters though) so DA:I is basically a dream come true

I don't know, since I have no idea how good this game is. I am a bit on the fence of actually buying it - I've seen things I like and things I don't like. If I end up buying, I'll play it once... and then decide whether it's worthy of another playthrough.

If it allows you to carry on after the main quest is over and you can return to previous locations (which you can ) then I will be playing forever like I am in Skyrim.
Question: Could never ending games take over now? Is this the norm for games?
It mostly depends of the game. I never finished the Elder Scroll games, because I tend to lose myself in secondary quest, and even more in mods. I usually finish at least one gamethrough of DA games (I began of few others but never finished them), although I did enjoy it I never finished Baldur's Gate 2 as it took too much of my time. I also play a few medieval RTS but usually only finish the main campaign and can go on with skirmishes for a very long time.

As long as I am enjoying it? And we will see about this. But it'll probably the dark cold winters ahead of me...but still, I want to give Wasteland 2 a chance, I backed Pillars of Eternity (2015), and the Witcher 3 is also a must-have. So some strong competition for DAI in the future. But if its the good quality mix of DAO and DA2 I hope it'll be, than I will sink many, many hours into it...

I'm still going in and playing Skyrim after all this time (trying to get the perfect canon "whatever"), so I can see myself playing this game a lot if it's good the first time through. But then, I re-read books that I love so.....

my only break from all of them is my mancave, so i'll play DAI until the disk wears out.

El Topo Chico's length of playtime will be determined by the demands of the ring. I can't keep my fans waiting forever.

Oh, this one will go to my 'forever' library I think. This is the type of game I'll replay once a year/every couple years.
