There's only one human race in Dragon Age, and as for your Inquisitor, you can make him look like anything human you want to.

There's even an adam's apple slider in case the player would like a big adam's apple to go along with a large neck (necks will also be on a slider.) So make him a warrior that uses warhammers, give him a thick neck, a ponytail or long hair and a mighty beard that's either blonde or red. Then go rock out with your Mjölnir out. ![]()

In the first game they'd toyed with the idea of a "human barbarian" Warden, who would have been Avvar. The Avvars in this world are a mix of Scottish Highland Celts and Viking Raiders (their religion is more Norse, their language is clearly meant to be Gaelic). The Avvar Warden never got off the the ground, which is a shame.
The Avvars that remain in their traditional culture settled mostly in mountains - one of the trailers showed a mission where you fight them and claim their weapons, plus recruit one for the Inquisition. Their relatives, the Alamarri founded most of the cultures of southern Thedas, including Ferelden, Orlais...and the Free Marches. So in a sense, a human noble from Ostwick is a distant relative ![]()
EDIT: Here's what "Vikings" look like in Inquisition, in case you missed it. I always liked the Avvars, and felt they were underutilized. Some of my favourite sidequests belong to them - the Avvar Crypt in Awakening, and the Sky Cult in DA2. And Kell Ap Morgan the Avvar Warden in the novel The Calling is awesome.

I'm pretty sure Grungr comes from Seattle.

Nordic Vikings are still humans. I mean I'm from Nordics and I guess I'm human..
Just make character who looks like Nordic Vikings did. CC might give some limitations but you should be able to get it pretty close ^^

I think the poor vikings have taken enough beatings from the entertainment industry lately, let's give them a chance to recover. Isn't it some other historical group's turn in the ring?
