Ok, so i've tried the MP and it's quite fun but there are some issues i think they are long overdue and have to be dealt with.

1) The-all-in-one key. Playing gold isn't that easy, for me at least as a new player, and this makes it harder. Why do we have to have a single button for some very important actions in the game? Please make it so that we can rebind the actions. This would make my life (and others as i've read) in MP a lot easier.

2) Make powers and consumables able to be re-assinged. This is so usefull that i don't think it warrants an explanation. I mean... you can do it on Campaign, so ehm... what's the catch?

3) Make characters easier to manage. As i am aware many classes were added since it's launch, and that's great! But it's not so great when you have to scroll over and over to find em. Also great idea would be to be able to check the character's build so you don't go through mutliple menus.

4) Introduce a PvP mode. Fighting vs AI is fun, but has it's limits. Having human opponents let's you test your wits and skills even more so than vs AI. I also think that it would greatly add to it's MP longevity until ME4 comes.

There are also other things that could be improved with a little extra work, but these things i find to be the most important of all, from my limited experience.

Cheers!

PS. I've posted this again on MP forums, but this seems more appropriate place and i can't find a delete button for my previous post :P

1) Agree

2) Agree

3) Agree

4) I don't think PVP would work (not that this game needs PVP anyway, as it is an RPG game). The powers wouldn't work properly in a multiplayer mode and it would be just like another generic TPS, with people exploiting the right hand advantage and camping in the same spot. Also, putting more resources into MP would reduce the quality of the singleplayer even more, which is the main part of the game. Just enjoy the Co-op. This game is not about " wits and skill" in the first place, it's about using your powers effectively and teamwork (I'm talking about the MP here). This is not the type of game that wants to test your skills.

The problem i've got with the MPis, that it's uninspired. It`s just horde mode over and over - fun for 1-2 rounds but boring after one hour... and i got the feeling, that the SP-Camapign of ME3 suffered from it, because the developers couldn't put all their efforts into it.  It's there to appeal to team fortress  or CS-Players but isn't close as good.

First: The MP doesn't tell any kind of story - which is a shame reminding, that story-telling is one of biowares biggest strength. There could have been a little sub-story about an assault team operating parallel to shepard`s story in the SP-Campaign but in different places.

Second:  The variety... it's just lazy as hell doing nothing but defending against waves of enemies. Why not adding f.e. more and different objectives... like having to infiltrate a base, push forward to the command center, protecting one of your team members while he's activating something and then exfiltrate to another point of the map.

Or a Npc-teamn starts an evacuation in an area and the mission of your team, is to stir the enemy up (produce lots of aggro in MMO-language) and make sure they keep attacking your group and not the rescue team. Or having to capture a single enemy-unit before it get's to the exfiltration-point.

Anything which varies gameplay.

Third: Grinding... playing for 2 hours, collecting points, with shich you buy a pack and then by random unlocking a weapon you DON'T want is stupid. Let me choose which weapon i unlock. And the fact that after reaching levelcap with your character it's only purpose is to hand it in to raise the galaxy at war-bar and then start all over is fu**ing annoying... and this galaxy at war rating seems to be only there to get useres playing the MP.

In general: Why have SP and MP to be in the same game? Why not developing them seperate ME4 (SP) and ME:Arena (MP), so i'm not forced to buy something i don't want. The number of games, which concentrate on MP is vast... but the number of great SP-experience isn't.

Well, RPGs can have PvP. Others have. I don't think it's a big deal, but offers a nice variety without much extra hassle. Also your skills are tested when playing Gold or Platinum (haven't been there yet) but not like they would be vs human opponents.

Something that also comes to mind now that i think about it, is for us to be able to have the mods for ammo or armor or w/e that we need, by either buying them for BW or in-game credits or, make them permanent. I know they want to make an extra buck out of em, but it mostly drives people away all that randomness and need to constantly farm for them.

Edit. JCFR - I don't see how adding MP would affect Campaign as you don't really need to put anything there as a developer that isn't already tested in other games. People aren't asking for new experiences. Just merely to make MP more fun and interesting by adding a few things. Yes, the different objectives would've been very nice since we only got a monotonous gaunlet. I don't see MP as being a game of it's own, but an addition to keep people's attention, so why sell em seperately. It was great playing as Shepard, but it's also great to be able to play as different races. I really want to try Geth, Quarian and of course... Turian. Like the best buds of Shep!

I think most ME3MP players do not want PvP.

If you want PvP go play Destiny.

The day Bioware decides PvP is a good idea is the day I start looking somewhere else.

Almost every game is given PvP nowadays, even Tomb Raider... but hardly ever is there a decent cooperative game.

On PC, especially, there just isn't another coop game that comes close to ME3. My friends and I have dumped several hundred hours into it, and still go back and play it... I think we mostly play it now because there isn't anything else to play.

Why you guys are vehemently opposed to the idea of PvP? It seems i am missing something. Care to elaborate on that? I never said to remove the currently existing PvE horde mode, but to add the option for deathmatches.

Read my first post again. This game WOULD NOT work as PVP. Try to think about it. How do you think the powers would fit in a PVP mode? And we don't need more bullshit modes in Mass Effect, most of us just want the singleplayer to be as good as it was before ME3.

And that's something I will never understand! This buying-the-same-unadvanced-thing-over-and-over-mentality that keeps CoD alive since years (i liked the serie but stopped after Modern Warfare 2... it just got old).

In my oldschool mind Sequels have to be better - not just in graphics but in gameplay as well! They have to offer MORE (new features) not the same or even less. And delivering just Horde-Mode as MP is sooo unbelievable lazy!

ME2 did a hell of a lot things better than ME1 (except of taking away the Rpg-elements) but ME3 did nothing better than it's predecessors. Gameplay? Same oldcover-shooter.  Level-maps? Still tight pipes with no roaming. Normandy? Still nothing but a hub. Customisation? A bit better but still minimal. And this  ending... this insult of an ending... but it had MP.

Soooo... it seems pretty obvisious to me that either the developers ran out of ideas, had not enough time (maybe because they had to add a certain something to appeal to CoD-players) or EA was at fault - i don't now.

But what i know: If ME1 and 2 appear better and more satisfying in my memory, than the newest part of the series, then something went wrong... and since the only thing in which ME3 differt from the other 2 parts is MP...  i will let you finish that thought.

Geez, it's not as if i'm a hater of MP, it's just... if i wanna play competitive MP, i pick Battlefield or Team fortress... but not Mas effect.

I play ME for its SP-Campaign... for story and characters... and i don't wish another hyped disaster like ME3.

Hold ya horses. I said nothing about competitive PvP. But i think it's kinda obvious that they added MP to keep players interested in the ME universe. So i wonder why they did a lazy job with it. Adding PvP will renew or keep interest of people for longer. I'm not advocating for making it a fully-fludged MP like BF/CoD. Just some basic stuff that people ask for so long and my own views and preferences. Nobody forced you to play MP if you don't like it. If they are to make MP into a vast game then i'd prefer it to be an MMO. Not like BF/CoD, not that i don't like BF or FPS games.

I agree that removing the little puzzles and the customazition sucks in a very big way, and i hope they bring it back for ME4. I also agree that combat in ME3 catters to CoD/BF players, but maybe they tried to be more inclusive, which doesn't always work favorably. You can't satisfy everyone, that's just common sense. As for the endings, i dunno... i liked the endings in a way. I of course got the extended cuts and never had to go through the experience of what players at launch went. I think they were kinda fitting for the "legend" of Shepard but not what i would like. Bittersweet i guess. Still i can't complain about the story or the characters. Felt like a great reunion - Citadel DLC ftw!

Edit. XAN - You didn't care to elaborate why MP is a bullshit mode, and how it would subtract from campaign. Adding a run of the mill MP mode is nothing new or hard. I don't see how the devs would need to allocate a great share of time on it. The powers aren't that hard to balance, and trying to play vs humans is really hard, unlike AI. Just because your class seems OP vs AI it doesn't mean it will be vs a human opponent.

Gotta be so much fun to get stasised and then headshotted or shot with a Javelin through cover from across the map :3

I rail on ME3 a lot but one can't seriously say the movement and gameplay haven't improved over ME2/1. Shepard is agile and can move quickly rather than having the stamina of a fat kid in a sauna. There's the introduction of functional weapon mods and more attack mechanics like melee combos and heavy melee.

I get what you people are saying there are a lot of classes and specs that can deal insane amount of damage, but that's not a big deal to iron it out in ME4 (if they decide to include MP mode) still i do think it would keep peoples interest. Who wouldn't like to play with their friends and blow em away? :P - I always enjoyed that.

As for the agility of Shep, that's a whole other matter. While Shep does have some few moves etc, the BROKEN movement mechanics that intentionally or not sneaked into the PC version from consoles is appauling. There are quite a few games (MGR:Revengeance, i'm looking at you) that suffer and PC gamers suffer. I can't even fathom how game testers would even skip this issue. This is pure insanity.
