He shaved it off to make it less obvious that he's Felassan.
Love how in a thread of jokes this one priceless gem of wisdom slips through. YES!!! Solas = Felassan forever!!!

I think it's pretty obvious after the ending.
He was very hairy, chest hair, beard, bushy hair, you know, the works, so people called him dread-wolf, he got tired of it, wanted to move on with the "destroyed elven people thingy" and shaved if all off.
I really liked the dreads concept art.
He had a close shave with a dragon.

He has hair, it's just made of magic.

Veilhair??
Honestly, I think that all of the ancient elven males, possibly females too, I don't know, were bald. All of the mosaics for the elven gods show men who appear bald. Still awesome though.

Here's a better question...
Why are half of the hairstyles in the CC bald? Or close to being bald ..
They should have stuck with the first design of Solas .

As questions like this arise semi-regularly, here's the universal answer:
That [person/place/thing] looks the way it does because we designed it to support the gameplay, support the story/setting and do both within the constraints of technology and a finite budget.
Budget, I get it.. I'm just sick of hearing it from a company that rakes in hundreds of millions every year from DLC alone.

I would imagine EA gives bioware a budget for their games
im guessing because I actually have no idea who any of this business stuff works
Because it fits him. He's a cute bald elf.
Wasn't it a mishap with a fire spell? I bet his eyebrows are fake, like Lee Press-on Nails. ![]()
90% of the hair budget went onto Blackwall and Dorian's faces.
