I went back, like, ten pages and still couldn't find this thread.
Either I'm blind or y'all are slackin'.
I agree, more Templars.

I think I'm going to get the Templar Spec but side with the Mages. Hoping that doesn't affect relations that bad.

Hopefully they will give us some details on the Templar spec soon... The icons for the actives on Cassandra's tree provide a bit of insight, but we have no idea what these abilities will actually do. Holy Smite is all the way at the end of the tree, however, so I assume it is quite powerful. At least, I hope so. I am also curious about the passives, since the majority of them seem to be game changers in the other trees. Silence and magic resistance seem like obvious choices, but I'd like to believe they got a little more creative than that.
Let's talk about Templar stuff!
From Inquisition:

Knight-Captain Carroll. Remember Carroll?

The Queen of Antiva? The guy you could bribe with cookies or porn to let you cross the lake? He's Knight-Captain now. As Cullen went from scaredy-cat Knight to BAMF Commander in ten years, Carroll went from useless joe stationed at the docks to Knight-Captain, and traded lazy sarcasm for actual balls. What difference a decade makes to a man's career, huh.
Also of interest: Samson is still around! Is he dealing with the Templars, the Red Templars, or double-dealing anyone he can for some of that sweet, sweet dwarf dust? I do like Samson, I hope we get to see and talk to him again in DAI, not just see his name in notes.
Let's all rejoice over the fact you can side with the Templars in Dragon Age Inquisition!
After ME3 and the Red Templars reveal, there were reasons to fear the morally ambiguous Order which isn't entirely nice and pleasant would get thrown under the bus.

Dead men walking.
I'm still not sure yet if I'm gonna side with them or not.
Its interesting that Cass suggested to side with the mages. But that was mostly because of the mark.
I am not sure yet either, though I might side with them as my human inquistor as she was raised to be a devoted member of the chantry. I wonder if there would be opitions to support both the mages and the templars though?
It seems less like 'side with them' and more like 'convince the scattered remnants from the Peace Confrence to work for you.' Same with the Mages.
I'm hoping to get both sides to work for the Inquisition.
I think it's one or the other...
I think it's one or the other...
Which is a mistake. Realistically I'd accept nothing less than complete and unconditional surrender from both sides.
Dead men walking.
Carroll certainly is, he's a traitor to align with the Red Templars and must be disposed of with the rest of his scum.
Samson, if he hasn't taken sides and can be brought back onto the Templars fold.... I'll probably give him another chance. On top of the ones I already gave him in DA2, yeah. I do like the guy for some reason, if he can be made to work under my/Cullen's Templars again, I'll probably take him back alright.

I disagree, but to each their own.

They do when you need their forces for an army.

They do when you need their forces for an army.
I need an end to the Mage & Templar conflict far more than I need the services of the disorderly thugs who continue to act in rebellion. I will give them the chance to help atone for their actions, but they would do well to realize that they have forfeited the right to make demands to me or anyone.
Samson and Carroll are both red Templar.

Ugh... why not put all of that in a spoiler box?
Them both being red Templar was also given away in the Emerald Graves Youtube vid that got edited.

Which I didn't see... nvm... it's my own fault for being on this forum so close to release.
It was already mentioned on thread and there is a whole thread about it elsewhere that BW have let stand...unedited.

Its already too late for you.

Nvm... It's my fault, not yours.
edit: uh, that sounded kind of rude so I changed the wording a bit... :s
