I think you are overreacting. Given that the devs turned Orsino into a villain in last minutes of development just to make another boss and balance the sides, I think at least one mage leader need to be corrupt or go too far or something, maybe that's Fiona. There, no longer a sue or snowflake. Although not as much as Fiona, Loghain was somewhat a sue too before going too paranoid about Orlais, he succeeded at everything, but he didn't do anything dramatic like cleansing the taint but still, I can draw some similarities. Its Fiona's time to mess up, why wasn't she at the summit?

But in DAII... I ALWAYS side with the Templars, or it just feels wrong.

 

What's wrong with me, why can't I make up my mind?

I support templars they have their place.

 

sadly those in the south have rebelled because of Lyrium addiction. Something Imperial Templars don't suffer from.
