I'm more worried about the joining ritual making her vulnerable, the taint not showing bodily is pretty minor.
The Architect didn't have to meet the Darkspawn it controlled, would Cory have to meet the Grey Wardens he controlled? Horrible thought but may be relevent.

I meant The former. We don't know if Cory can control her.
I do think Cory needs to face Wardens in order to control them. Otherwise he could control every Warden in Thedas, Blackwall included.

When did she ever seemed willing to compromise?

Towards the end when the final vote was put forth for mages to rebel, her stance was the circle would adhere to outcome of the vote. If she wasn't willing to compromise she could have not bothered and declared separation regardless.

Not exactly. It is not like they want existence to cease. They want to tear the veil, and create a "better world".

I get it. At least when we look at it with the information we've got. However, if the Red Templars take the Red Lyrium fully knowing what will happen to them, my sympathy for them will dwindle. Quickly.

True. It really does depend on the circumstances in which the rebels begin utilizing the red lyrium. However, given that we know a TME character is in Emprise du Lion, I wonder if they but ran afoul of a certain...spirit.

You know the Red Templars might be in cahoots with the Venatori anyway, going by what you can spot in the Knight Enchanter stream...

Edit: sorry, the Emerald Graves video, not the KE stream

Going to side with the Templars anyway, but more so with the Chantry. I sympathize with them more. They'll definitely die without lyrium, where as there's very little chance the mages will all be killed if they surrendered long before this stupid war began.

Gameplaywise it is gonna have a minor impact (you will either meet more Red Templars, or more Venatori). Storywise it may be one of the biggest decisions you make in the game.

Indeed. It could vastly impact which character you will meet, the operations available, etc. Though, I have no freaking clue if it will have lasting effect beyond this game.

Also, I think both groups will ultimately fail the original plan of helping you close the Breach. I don't think that having the mages shove power through your mark or have the templar attempt to shrink the breach will have any effect and may indeed backfire.

Something has to happen to make people think the Inquisitor dies (based on Redcliffe dialogue).

The devs mentioned that the main antagonist will come after you once with an army, so I guess It might be this.

Quite. So maybe something went wrong with the process, causing something to happen to the Inquisitor. Though it must have gone terribly wrong for even your spymaster to think you were killed. Though Leliana could have been taken before you attempted to quell the Breach, meaning she wouldn't know that you made it out alive while she was being tortured.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I wonder what the source of all this red lyrium is? I think the reason that it's cropping up everywhere is due to the Breach. So that begs the question, where are the Templars getting the stuff and what made them choose to start using it? Hopefully not simple desperation.

I don't think it was desperation. I do think someone brought them to use red lyrium.

Supposedly it is literally sprouting up through the ground in some places. So it is abbundantly available, and it is a stronger anti-magic substance than blue lyrium. Maybe the Templars initially realized its power, but not the dangers, and used it simply because it seemed more effective.

But surely they had heard of Meredith by that point? Wouldn't they at least be extremely wary of the stuff? Hell, who the *expletive* thought it'd be a good idea to let their comrades turn into freaking behemoths?

Cerberus would.
