How long have you been waiting for them to upload? It took 3-4 days for them to upload into my BSN.

also right now seems Bioware is having problems. I've had error messages the last 2 days saying that DA:O was having a problem connecting to my BSN account

Give it a little bit of time, I might show up in the next day or so, if not, try to report it as a bug.

Perhaps the keep is what is causing issues? I'm sure Bioware will get it all sorted out though.

None of this would be an issue if they hadn't decided to abandon the old BSN just because it got hacked.

The uploading of DAO characters to BSN has always been dodgy and unpredictable at best, at least for as long as I've been around, and at least on PC. Sometimes they show up immediately, sometimes not for more than a week, often they never ever show up, no matter how many attempts are made.

 

Things that can help lead to a successful upload for some players (again, referencing the game on PC) are not using a console-enabled shortcut to start the game, and changing the player character's equipment and hard saving.

In my experience it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for your characters to upload to the BSN. According to the section of the FAQ about this these are the reasons it may be taking a while to show up: 

 

"There are several reasons that your DA character data may not be showing up online yet. These include:

• Your data was already synced within about the past hour - the system avoids re-syncing people too frequently - be patient!
• You do not have an account on this website - the system only syncs data for people with accounts
• No one has visited your DA player profile page - the system decides who to sync based on whether their profile has been visited in the past day.
• The system has many other people to sync first - syncing is done on a first-come first-serve basis, so a big rush will delay some syncs
• You logged in to Dragon Age with a different account - you must use the same account in-game as you use on this site
• In the Character Creator, you did not hit the "Upload Character" button, or that upload failed
• In Dragon Age Origins (not Char Creator), you did not save your game - DA game progress is uploaded when the game is saved
• your router or firewall is blocking ports needed by the game - these include ports 80, 443, and 18081"

Assuming that you have an account and you're using the same account to sign into Origin as you do when you're playing then if you're patient they will show up eventually. That's my experience, anyway. I have had trouble with one character that, when the save file uploaded, it was corrupted or something (the character XML, portrait image, avatar image, and story XML were all missing but the character identifier [his name] was there) so I ended up having to delete that upload since it wasn't any good. I haven't been able to get that character file to re-upload to the BSN since and I don't know why. If any of you have any insight as to why his save file may be corrupted or how I could get it to re-upload (and hopefully work this time) I'd appreciate it, thanks.

I thought I had the same problem because I followed a syncing guide, but the profile diagnostics only showed the names of a couple of my characters without their profile actually showing up on the characters page. I checked now after a couple of hours and they appeared. I'm guessing that if the names appear in the profile diagnostics page, it's only a matter of time before they fully appear.

If I ever get that character to upload again than I'll keep it in mind to be patient and see if the rest of the character data shows up, thanks.

Even going in my documents folder and looking at my character, the screenshot is still of the starting leather armor. Do you have to be connected in order for that screenshot to update?

They've never updated the look of the character for me, it will update the armor in the slots, but it wont update the appearance.

It doesn't update the appearance. The first picture it takes is the one that sticks, in my experience. Usually I just let it update until I beat the game with the character, then I delete the character on the BSN, change my gear to be what I want, then save so it will re-upload the character wearing my armor of choice. But I'm picky like that.

I don't understand. When the old BSN was around, my character screenshot updated regularly to reflect whatever armor I had equipped.

It did that for some PC users, but not for the ones that played on consoles. Maybe its just bugging for you?
