Sigh, while I'm not fond of my government and their foreign policy( American citizen ) I'm even less fond of comments like this. It's amazing how many people overseas constantly bag on America and it's poor choices when many other nations( far older ) have made the same mistakes in the past.i know, and i hate the USA, but they think they are the best country in the world

Well in that case, the internet's invention is based on the technology of French and English as well, not just Americans (although, most of the major contributions towards the development of the internet did happen in America).
However Tim Berners Lee developed the world wide web and he's English so the networking and internet we're using now is all down to many different people from these three different countries. (The French developed CYCLADES which was a packet switching network which led to the development of the internet protocol system)
