It all depends on how they modified the engine.  Hopefully they made the areas So Freakin Huge that it tests the limits of some systems.  But we'll know soon enough.

Well it depends on if they brought up the graphics from some of the demos they have shown also,, is what I have been going by since all those dmeos are on PC apparantly for the most part a few xbox one.  From my understanding.

I did notice some 2d art in the last  demo they did could have been my poor sight but around the waterfall and a few other spots in the deep road part of the last demo.

I swear most of these threads are just bragging threads, there's no way you didn't think you could run the game with those parts.

Or people are just nervous after some of the more recent game recomendation system requirements and waiting a few days to release their min to get everyone in a panic.

imo you should be absolutely fine and should run smoothly at least on minimum settings.

On the topic of PC specs. What is the main difference between duo and quad core CPU?

For example, would a quad core 2.8GHz outperform a duo core 3.4GHz?

Can't really answer that myself fully, but in general yes.

Also would depend on generation and make of the quad core.

Go to your system and security screen and should see an option among the list of choices about viewing amount of ram and processorr speed. click on that and should give detils on what your running at.

Hello guys,

i´m kinda afraid that my pc wont be able to play the game.

The specs:

CPU: i7-4770 3,40 GHz

Graphic: Geforce Gtx 760

System: Windows 8.1

Ram: 8,00 GB

when i test it on "can i run it" everythings fine besides the option: Dedicated Video RAM

how do i increase that? Can i even do that?

I have a very similar setup and can run BF4 on Ultra or very near ultra, you will be fine.

I run GTX 760 and can play any game in high or ultra settings at 60 FPS. I wouldn't worry too much.

That cpu is fine. And the 780ti is a beast ... What res is the mon?

Only upgrades I'd recommend is I would get another 8GB of DDR3, and a Samsung SSD to install the game files to.

My mate told me i shouldnt trust sites like this...

i guess ill will be able too... even when the site tells me i cant :D

Yes, the "can I run it" website is worthless. It doesn't confirm whether your computer can run a particular game or not, all it does is check to see if the hardware in your PC matches the minimum specs published by the developer. Display resolution, frame rate and graphics settings are completely ignored.

If you have geforce 700 and good memory your fine. Even geforce 600 series still runs games at a high rate. Especially later ones like 660. In my opinion most stats I have seen posted here will be fine. If there were mods then I would worry about memory more but since there won't be not as big an issue.

Dual core @ 3.4GHz is two times 3.4, which is 6.8GHz total.

Quad core @ 2.8GHz is four times 2.8, which is 11.2GHz total.

That's about a 65% increase in CPU performance.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure...

(Reaching back to my high school education...)

That every processor is a single thread (unless hyperthreaded), and each thread can do a single thing at any given time.

That would mean a quad core can do twice the amount of tasks per time unit as a dual core at the same freq.

If someone more skilled at IT can confirm or deny this, I'd be a happy Serza.

My high school education was a lot of sh... stuff, with an occasional useful bit.

There are many more applications and games that can utilize more than one core now (not necessarily a thread). It is less likely that having 2 threads per core will actually improve a program's speed but we'll get there eventually.

Yes, but the way I understand it, when a program uses more cores at one time, essentially more of the program gets done?

I'm still not sure if I'm right.

I was just feeling you out to see what you know. I don't know much either. I would guess more of the files being written and wrote are split up amongst the cores. So you would have 3.2 GHz working per core and if a program can run 4 cores then it would be 4x as fast. Here. I'm too lazy to read it myself.

Have the same CPU. But I recently overclocked mine to 4.3 ghz (replaced the stock cooler with a cooler master one, hyper 212, quite cheap, too). Definitely made a difference in games I play and I have zero heat problems.

The rest of your specs is good, so no worries.

And I'm not?

Honestly, I was doing that sort of stuff (learning how CPUs work, etc.) the entire high school. I'm glad I get none of that stuff on college.
