And I'm not?

Honestly, I was doing that sort of stuff (learning how CPUs work, etc.) the entire high school. I'm glad I get none of that stuff on college.

Ok then. I'm not trying to compete. I honestly don't know much about computers. I even say so in another thread I created. I like computers and I was going to school for it, but it turns out my school sucked, so for now, I put it on the backburner. I'm glad you're in college, good for you. I actually am not supposed to work but I do anyways *shrug* I've never been that ambitious though. I can explain how a wheatstone bridge works and thats about the extent of my  knowledge for hardware. Sorry I can't be more help.

That cpu is fine. And the 780ti is a beast ... What res is the mon?

Only upgrades I'd recommend is I would get another 8GB of DDR3, and a Samsung SSD to install the game files to.

Res?  1080P.  that's resolution right?  >_<

Hmm....should I replace the hard drive with an SSD altogether?

You probably can do that at this point. You will get better performance (faster load speeds, especially operating system) and will probably never look back. If you dig around for SSD drives on newegg.com or tigerdirect.com under computer hardware->storage devices->SSDs you will find a ton to select from. I recommend the Samsung Evo 256GB SSDs. they go on sale for pretty cheap sometimes.

People are worrying way too much about system requirements anyway.

Shadow of Mordor's requirements are absolutely ridiculous and I can still run it with nearly consistent 50 fps on High settings - and I "only" have a i5-4570 (@ 3.2GHz) and a GTX 660 OC with 2GB VRAM. I remember back when people were freaking out about the requirements of Max Payne 3 and in the end almost anyone could play it, anyway.

So.. relax, most of you will be fine.
