Prior to playing the game I actually expected to see him at some point after reading the books. Would've been cool to see some interplay between him and book characters present in the game (following no spoilers rule)

Hey, I'm pretty new as well!  

 

When it comes to Kai Leng, Awesome Toby most of his story is in the comics.  My first thought was, "Wait, where did this guy come from??"  You do get a couple of chances to deal with him though.

Well, without any spoilers all I can say is that to me KL is such a pathetic character so I had to give him an approriate name

Kai Leng, appearance wise is literally just a less cool copy of Raiden from MGS.
