Who?

I would like to see her in it and from what I've seen of Viv it could be entertaining and I won't even hear her voice most of the time...
But really. She wasn't as bad as Zevran. She had her limits when it came to the innuendo's. Zevran had no filter and no limits it seemed like to what he'd hit on and what came out of his mouth.
But on the other hand it is sad for me that Shale is not returning. Shale was actually one of my favorites in DA:O.

I hope not, her sexual euphemisms were getting annoying. Every other sentence from out her mouth was about sex,
I not only enjoyed her sexual innuendos, but also her take on other issues.
Yes, she was selfish, but had a very refreshing pragmatism concerning a lot of things. Her replies about the mage vs. templar issues sounded very right, without any stupid ideology. Her quotes about self confidence and self-responsability were amazing. Her battle-cry "if we kill them, we get to take their stuff" is soooo true and a nice counter to all the "big heroic" stuff.
Also, I find her the most self-aware companion in DA2. going even so far as to question her own actions. That's pretty rare for Bioware characters.

Isabela will only show up again when people stop spelling her name with a second 'L'.
Or they could just change the spelling of her name

Although I liked her character, I can't say I agree. Straightforwardness is one thing, but her attitude is more aptly described as "damn the consequences and come what may," and it usually results in other people having to clean up the mess. By that measure, it's reckless, not pragmatic. Also, while her character was fun, her self-referential humor took me out of the game, at times.
What I found more interesting in her character, though, were her internal contradictions. Under her selfishness, she has some rather strong scruples, if not many, and the inter-group banter gives a hint that she wishes she were a better person. Also, if you play your Hawke on the heroic side, there are a couple of instances where she gets bashful at the example he sets.
All that said, I wouldn't mind seeing her and the other DA2 cast members again (minus Anders...annoying git), but it won't be a hardship not to see them, aside from my LI.

I disagree. Some of those conversations with Merrill were incredibly vulgar... although you probably have a point that she used less innuendo and instead favored explicit descriptions of her... activities. Either way, she was pretty raunchy, and she talked about sex at least 60% of the time (probably more like 75%...)... I'd say they were pretty close to the same level of depravity.

Isabella was my best party member ever in the entire Dragon Age series. I spent 90% of DA2 controlling Isabella in combat because my Hawke was a support mage. Izzy was my team's top dps. Full Dual wield tree with speed, haste, stealth, Aveline's body guard ability, and competent healing made my Isabella an unstoppable killing machine.

Here idea "Dragon age the pure", Where Isabela must find sacred ashes of Andraste to cure herself from her many venerical diseases.

So your game idea is that she makes a quick trip over to Haven, most of which is time lapsed, to get the sacred ashes because even if you try to hide them news of their location in the mountain temple is leaked. For her the game would be like 2 1/2 minutes long.

Won't she get nuked if she goes to Haven?
That would be terrible.

Fenris already got confirmed not to reappear so I'm pretty sure it'll be the same for Isabela and Merril.

Cross that, it was Zevran who wasn't returning.

But if she had a role in the exhalted march expansion pack or the cut dlc then it's possible she could be in DAI since they've said parts of both are in DAI.

Not sure if she's coming back or not, haven't heard anything about her at all.
But if she had a role in the exhalted march expansion pack or the cut dlc then it's possible she could be in DAI since they've said parts of both are in DAI.
I doubt she would have had a large role in that DLC... she was an optional party member who could have disappeared from the game 2 different ways even if she was recruited. I don't really see her returning, but I could be wrong...

When did Fenris get confirmed not to appear?
Wasn't said outright, but when asked if Gideon Emery or Fenris would be back, a dev said that we might hear Gideon Emery. That was taken as meaning he'd be playing another role ![]()

The only problem I'm going to have with her not returning is that my Hawke is returning, and not sunbathing on her ship in the middle of some tropical paradise. Which means she probably is without me and that's not really fair.
