Can I make a character Rivani or Antivian?

Appearance-wise, I don't see why not - the options seem to be pretty vast. Voice-wise, they are going to have to sound American or British though, so not exactly Antivan (though Isabela was Rivani and had a British voice so..).

Pretty much what Eri said. You can edit their appearance to be anything you want, but they're always going to be from the Free Marches with either a British or American accent.

You can make them look Antivan or Rivani but nothing else.

You'll be a part of the Trevelyan family, a noble house from Ostwick in the Free Marches.

Naturally, your position in this house will vary depending on if you're a mage or not.

it appeared that your human character has just the one origin, the same as it was in DAO. I suspect the same is true for the other races (aside from the qunari of course)

HumanQuizzy is from Ostwick, but you can make him look like he is of, for example, Rivaini descent (ie. black).

You can be from almost every part of the noble keep in Oswick. That's like, several square feet of Thedas
