Be honest, are you going to abuse console commands if they're available?

If they're in, I know the first thing I'm going to do as soon as my game finishes installing...

Spoiler

Okay, that's a method for a completely different game but Skyrim fans you know what I'm talking about.  I always like to have a crap ton of gold on me at all times.  Just in case I come across this really fabulous piece of outfit in a store that I wouldn't have the money for otherwise.  It's a weakness.  I'm sorry.  Money is hard enough to come by in real life.  I hate working for it in video games.  >_>

Nah.

I like challenges.

Maybe if something screws me over (like being 1HP away from a boss kill only for my computer to crash.) But I usually play on Hard/Nightmare, so if things happen that way I like the way that I can just switch to ****** easy mode xD

In the first play-through, no unless I run into a bug.  But later I might.

Nope, to me using  a cheat like that completely ruins a game and defeats the fun of building up your character and obtaining the things like you were meant to.

I never use cheats outside of the stupid ones on console games that are for more comedic purposes and don't break the game or give an advantage (IE big head mode in sports games), stuff like that.

I always use them when there is no new game plus option on a second run. I played Skyrim and DA:O clean the first time, but Ill be damned if I'm going to spend 30 hours slowly walking around towns to get my sneak back up to 100% more than once! Well it didn't take quite that long to max out sneak but you get the idea.  And with DA:O I have no problem giving myself things like the Juggernaut armor ahead of time. I usually do the Dalish last and I did the quest already in another play-through so who cares? I make my own new game +

I have always used the console command for when the game bugs out.

I sincerely hope Bioware includes it for Single Player. I mean, games with using the Frostbite engine is known for being heavy with bugs and I doubt Bioware is going to be able to solve all of them.

Not initially, but eventually plan to utilize the Gold command; loathe shopping runs and toting large volumes of slag across the maps. Gold is not a challenge; tis an irritant mechanic.

Also add lock picks, too.

We already know they will not be any if I recall right, so nope.

I hope the game gives me no reason to do that. I usually use the console only to avoid things I seriously don't like and to circumvent bugs. In Bioware games, I used the console to end DA2's combat fast and in DAO to get past some bugs that prevented some content from appearing before I found mods that fixed them. In later playthroughs, I also sometimes use a gold cheat.

I won't unless I feel myself somehow struggling to the point of non-enjoyment in relation to the limited healing feature (depending on how that turns out), but that is absolute worst-case scenario for me.

Possibly. I used the console to fiddle with approval/rivalry as necessary in DA2 because I didn't feel like metagaming to get what I wanted. (this was mostly an issue with rivaling Isabela, which is what I preferred to do) The approval system's different this time, so that might not be an issue.

I also gave myself experience for traps I didn't bother disarming because life's 2 short. I plan on playing a rogue this time, so again, this might be unnecessary now. Maybe, (hopefully) there aren't even traps! Not so much because they make the game difficult but because disarming them for experience is truly annoying.

Money's not normally much of an issue. I only really wanted the ability point books in the last two games.

I really hope they don't get rid of traps. I want to have a reason to actually make and use traps in relation to harder gameplay forcing us to think more and utilize all at our disposal - that is one thing I never truly made use of in Dragon Age Origins because I never actually needed it (and traps I made just cluttered up my inventory), which I found a shame.

I want the option to be there. Being able to fix/restart bugged quests is always appreciated, almost as much as the ability to add a fuckton of gold in the second and up playthroughs.

On a playthrough after my first one, I could see myself doing it. For example I felt like I leveled up really slowly in DAO and DA2, and until I found a mod that leveled me up faster, I used console commands instead. But since the game is different this time around, I could end up not seeing a reason to use any console commands at all.

I might use the gold cheat, though it Depends on the game economy's balance. If it's severely broken against the player, I might add it.

Cheats don't really make sense to me unless you really need help to progress. Why not just watch the game on a youtube #letsplay or something if you aren't going to actually play the game?

I used cheats on Doom 3 because I'm a scaredy cat lol, I just wanted to see the story and I'd gotten the game as a gift. Apart from that I don't really cheat on anything.

I might understand to unlock 2 specs or other things like that (what mods will eventually be used for anyway).

I HATE games that feature vendors who have limited cash!  If I want to be able to sell you 6 different armors at 500 gold a piece I should be able to!  To hell with your limited supply of currency!

It wouldn't be so bad if it made sense.

Yeah the merchant in the small town should have less money on him than the merchant in the big city. The issue is when you go to the big city at the beginning of the game so they have crap for money but someone in the boonies has money coming out the rear. It's so stupid.

only thing I ever used the console commands before in the previous games was for those mods that needed it to enable them.    I don't see the point of using it to cheat.   That's like doing a crossword puzzle and looking at the answer key.

Cheating is for noobs with zero skill, simple as that.

I replayed origins with the player character immortal (I got bored of dying), I did use it to add gold as well for the Reapers Vestments and the staff. Same for 2.

I plan to be hands off for Inquisition though.

Well yeah....except there's a key flaw in that argument.

Crossword puzzles are really really lame.  :P
