So far we know that the system works similar to ME3's, to where you have classes and subclasses, and I'm guessing a character slot for each (because thats simpler). So what about a Dwarf Runecaster mage? The idea being that theyre not technically using magic, they just build staves that have runes on them, and know how to activate the runes on the staff. We already know that they can actually use the runes they so expertly make (ENCHANTMENT!) and it would be a nice follow through for the quest from DAO and other savants like Sandal.
So, for multiplayer....

There are speculations that Sandal is actually the Maker in disguise...

I don't think that would work. The runes Sandal makes (the ones he made in DA:O and DA2) are just stats runes. They increase your stats and that's all. They don't cause you to cast magic or anything. Unless they completely revamp the system for the game that comes after DA:I, of course.
Would be nice, though.

Ya Sandel doesn't kill all the ogres with runes. He says "not enchantment." Bam. Just blew your mind didn't I?
