I love Origins and will always love Origins. I made myself promise I'd finish the entire series before I'd go back and play DAO again and I'm chomping at the bit to go back to it.

How scary is TLOU? I been thinking about trying it, but I hate horror games. I've played the Walking Dead game by TellTale Games, is it scary like that?

Its more TWD kind of creeping horror than jump-scare horror (mostly).

Yep,.. it will be always be one of my favourite role-playing games.. not only because of the story and characters. It was the first game I started to make mods for and I have met so many nice and interesting people who share the same passion when it comes to DA:O. I don't want to miss that exchange. :)

I still love this game. In fact I just finished another play through and perhaps it was my most fun one yet.

I chose a noble dwarf male. I've played through as a noble dwarf female once before but she sacrificed herself in the end and didn't allow Morrigan to perform the dark ritual. This noble male however did. He was a strong, proud and brave dwarf. Didn't even blame Bhelen for his exile, simply conceding to his younger brother who played the game better. On the surface he took on the blight rather eagerly as he knew of and had faced his fair share of Darkspawn. Being pretty much ignorant in the ways of magic, he found Morrigan rather fascinating. So much so that eventually the two were spending a LOT of time together.

After rallying the mages, elves and dwarves (his brother officially getting the throne) my dwarf headed on to the landsmeet. There he secured victory but at a cost. He worked out a deal with Alistair and Anora so that both would rule. However he spared Loghain. It was a decision that greatly angered Alistair but my dwarf could not let personal opinions get in the way of the best choices. He had carried the same opinion when ensuring that Bhelen took the throne in Orzammar. Sure he disliked his brother. And Loghain. But he saw sense and reason where others saw clouded judgment. Alistair took the throne but refused to continue with the group in taking out the Arch Demon. Instead it came down to my dwarf striking the final blow.

But it was fun having him get his brother to put the noble huntresss Mardy into house Aeducan along with his bastard son. Mardy was just a fling but Morrigan... No there was something much more to her then that. Once the aftermath of the blight has settled (Awakening completed) he is going to search for her.

Whats funny is due to no flirtations but the giving of gifts... Leliana thinks the two are in a relationship heh... Sorry Leliana but that's not the case.

I'm planning on playing a mage again. This time do things different from my normal routine. Like leave Conner possessed. Side with the werewolves and what not.

I do still think the game was geared towards playing as a noble male or female. Killing Howe means so much more. Loghain's retreat at Ostagar means more. Oh and the chance to become king or queen of Ferelden.

Although being a living Paragon is pretty cool.

This is the game I will force my children to play. It will be a requirement to live in my household.

YES, I barely got into Dragon Age back in Feb '14 so I am fairly new to the franchise however I quickly fell in love with Origins --the Noble/Mage origins will forever be my favorites.

Yep! Just as much fun now as it was back when it was released, as far as I'm concerned.

Replaying this gem at the moment and I can easily see why this is my favourite game. I'm getting the same feeling playing it now, that I did upon my first playthrough.

That, and now that I know to TALK to everyone over and over again as we journey through the game makes it that much more worthwhile.

It's not that surprising to me now, but its an experience neither DA2 or Inquisition has been able to match. Granted, those 2 games are still very impressive for me. But Origins. You just can't beat it.

Yes, but for some reason I can't bring myself to play it again, and it's been 2 or 3 years. I've played it around 8 times, but now it would feel like a bit of a hassle. Perhaps I haven't missed it enough yet.

I'm the same way. For me, it's mostly that I have other games to play and limited time to play them. I still hold it up as a great game, and would gladly play it again, but there is only so much time. However, one knock on the game is that the missions are mostly the same each time you play them, so you do need to take a break from it for awhile so it doesn't get stale. This was the case for the Mass Effect series also.

Yes, still play it to this day and it is cool how you know more lore from the sequels.

I even still play DA II which i haven't played as much as DA: O.

Yep.
Bought the regular version (with a few DLC's) on PS3 years ago and have a few full playthroughs on that over the years. Earlier this week i bought the Ultimate Edition from Steam for 5 bucks : ) New journey!
Love it even more with like 100's of mods!
I have to say i loved the PS3 combat with the controller alot! The tactical combat was very nicely implemented into console versions.
Now after a few days i'm starting to get the hang of the PC keyboard. Overall better experience i'd say and probably this game will get me into more PC RPG's in the future!
That said... saving up cash for a new gaming PC for the latest DA! : )

Yeah, I still love this game. I replayed it (and DAII) before getting started on DAI recently, and I still enjoy it a lot. There's really only one thing that tends to bother me.

Everything. Is. So. BROWN.

Uuuuugh, I really missed color in DA:O. But that said, I still love it. I mod the crap out of it, but only because I love it, really.

I still have fond memories of my first time playing the game. I actually haven't played the game since my first playthrough. I just had so many memories and am still too attached to my character because it embodied so much of my own personality and can't bring myself to start another character to replay it, even though I would really love to.

LOVE Morrigan and still remember how touching the romance was with her. Was heartbroken when she told me she had to leave me. :(

Was heartwarming for me to see her in Inquisition. Brings back good (and sad) memories. :)

unlike many folks here I am not a multiple replay player  - my one playthrough still evokes happy memories  - great game, great epic tale, great characters I look back at fondly.  After things soured for me with ME 3 I would put DAO only second to KOTOR as my favourite game

Yup. Beat it like...7 times on 360.  I just reinstalled my UE version for PC, and while I don't plan to use mods, I have to get that Fade skip one.

Something old school about Origins I just can't let go
