Are we going to be stuck with generic Blood Smear Hawke? Will we be able to re-create them? Or are they going to give us some kind of poorly remade "template" thing that Keep generates, thinking it looks like our Hawke?
Soo, Hawke is in Inquisition...

From what I hear, we'll be given the option to customise Hawke's appearance in-game, though when this would take place I have no idea. The Keep does not upload any information about the character's appearance, just the avatar which is used by the Keep itself purely for cosmetic purposes.

I see, that is interesting. I've done basically no research for the game really, for various reasons. So I was not aware how this would be handled.

Your referral to "generic" Hawke is completely inaccurate. "Generic" means "non-specific". The default Hawke, you will find, is quite unique. This is why it is referred to as the "iconic" Hawke appearance.
Now, to so easily jump to the conclusion that Bioware is going to somehow do a poor job at presenting Hawke, is really a disservice to the incredible amount of work the Bioware team is doing to make this the best possible Dragon Age game.
Also keep in mind that they really are not obligated in any way to even have Hawke show up, let alone give you the chance to have any control over how he/she looks.
Instead of starting with such a bitter, negative tone, how about giving them a chance?

I will ask my questions however I wish to ask them. You are more than free to not answer them, if you dislike them. There is no need to assume the "biodrone" (as the internet calls it) defense mode because my words were not politically positive or neutral.

I did not know that. Interesting. The default Hawke isn't a bad idea because it's easily identifiable. Having the option to customize is pretty cool. Either way I'd be happy. Only time I'm concerned about the need for the option to customize, is when it's the character I'm playing. Funny enough, very few games give any option to change any part of the game at all.

Your player character from the second game of Dragon age. Cleverly named Dragon age 2. The second game in the dragon age franchise.
His surname was Hawke.

I guess I never thought customizing your Hawke went beyond being able to set their tone as well as his/her DA2 story. Such as whether or not they were snarky or aggressive or diplomatic; who they romanced, which side of the conflict they agreed with, whether or not they dueled the Arishok, ect. I pretty much figured CC options were off the table as soon as they announced that there was a chance that Hawke would show up in some fashion for DA:I.
Not a big fan of the default/canon Hawke, to be honest. She looks great for the most part, but I've never been a fan of the blood smear. I have a mod to where I can look just like her, only without the blood smear. ![]()

Hm that's odd. I play on the 360 (zero mods there) and in the DA2 CC you can choose the default Hawke with or without the bloodsmear. Is it different for PC?

I play on PC, and can definitely choose to go smearless without mods. It's the second option on the preset slider.

I think this game will be fundamentaly different than the two other games of the DA. The only exception I can see would be the fact that, as the leader of the Inquisition, you feel like the noble. In DAO, in the beginning you may play a noble human or noble dwarf. And, in DA II, you may consider yourself as noble after claiming back your ancesters' home. So I just hope that the events of the two first games will have an impact of this one (including for those who have ditched or killed some companions).
