So we know that at some point in the story our Inquisitor will attend a ball, which is likely the one Vivienne throws for us to join the Inquisition.

I can't wait for the special dialogues races will get. What are you guys foreseeing?

I'm thinking that the Orlesians will keep mistaking your Elf Inquisitor for a servant and I HOPE that someone will remark on how a Qunari dressed in frilly fancy clothes is ridiculous.

Since the Human is supposed to be somewhat skilled at political maneuvering and mingling with other nobles, I also wonder how that sequence will play differently.

What do you guys think?

They'll fall somewhere on the "Scandal Spectrum."

Human<Dwarf<Elf<Qunari

Add bonus scandal if mage.

I'm really interested to see how it plays out with a Qunari inquisitor. A Qunari at an Orlesian ball? Imagine the scandal!

I see either Qunari being something that the "posh" nobles are afraid of/ disgusted by or something that draws everyones attention in wonder as if you're some exotic animal from a far away land.

Im hoping our social skills isnt dependent on races though, of course with the exception of the inevitable racists that i'd love to encounter, im hoping we can still leave an impact on the nobility with just our words. Having a towering 7ft horned creature with the muscle mass of a gorilla just walk up and spark a sophisticated conversation is just intriguing to me, their reactions to their initial surprise would top it off

BUT

My real concern is....whether we can choose to dance with a companion of our choice!

I want my male qunari to awkwardly dance with Cassandra who is dancing just as awkwardly

I know there are Inqusition perks you can buy that unlock special dialogue.  Also, I imagine Joephine will have advice for the Inquisitor.

Elves will probably get the worst of it... at least qunari have the advantage of being feared by most humans.  Elves are considered to be scum, and if the Inquisitor hasn't done anything to stand out by the time this party takes place, the nobles will probably remind them of that rather frequently...  I would assume that dwarves will have the easiest time out of the non-human Inquisitors, since they are generally well-respected by humans.  Although, if the Carta connection is public knowledge, that may complicate matters...

I wish there was an option to set the ball on fire. That's just me though.

I doubt Vivienne would approve of you endangering her political allies though... is it worth not being able to recruit her?

I hope elven Inquisitors can choose the aggro route, or the diplomatic route.

It would be brilliant to demolish the racist cheese-eaters with a witty elf.

And I just want a *stare intensely* option for my Qunari.

Waiter awkwardly approaches: “Can I get you anything, sir?”

Quanri leans down slightly and stares: “No.”

Waiter runs away.

I suppose you'll want to scream, "For Adalla!", before you throw the fire bomb?

That, or he/she would demand cookies.

Oh it's not just you.

I'm thinking of taking Sera , the Bull and Dorian.

A qunari , an elf , and a Tevinter mage...this is going to be fun.

Ambitious is not the same as treacherous.

'For Calenhad!' actually. But I would have Adalla etched on my armor as I did it.

I just want full control with regards to how my Inquisitor addresses people.

If my Inquisitor, for example, bows to someone without my explicit input, I will be extremely miffed.

Why on earth would Vivienne want to backstab a person who might be able to help carry out her "secret agenda?"  Not all mages are waiting for a chance to murder everyone they see... that's nuts.  Also, Anders was an abomination.  There is no guarantee that he would have done anything as violent as destroying the Kirkwall Chantry if he hadn't been under the influence of Justice for 7 years or so...

Because she is power hungry i wouldn't be suprised if she sell you elder one for power and position? And did i said that every mage is wating but it is pretty naive to think that ruthless power hungry mage will be loyal especially she have "secret agenda" and i doubt that it is hugging orphans not mention whatever her agenda is i doubt it is good for my goals.

Seeing all the grumpy, uncomfortable people at the ball... is literally the best thing about the ball.
