Isnt their a screenshot of the inquisitor dancing with Celene while wearing a dress?
I think so, but it was more of a suit than a dress

Stop hoping. The Inquisitor won't even be able to wear a dress to the ball, let alone frilly clothes.
How do you even know that for sure? It's very possible we could get a set of dress robes to wear for a ball as a one time kind of deal.

I don't think it was ever confirmed to be an Inquisitor, though it was most likely Celene.
i rly hope that game won't force me into that...
Well, it's the part of the game where you grab Vivienne, so if it is optional you're not getting her if you don't do it. (But then you probably don't want her anyway.)

Did you mean this one? It's sort of hard to tell who the two in this image are at all, though.

Spoiler
Isn't Celene blonde? And I imagine it'd be more likely for her to wear the mask.
I'm not too bothered by the dress issues, because the Inquisitor needs to be prepared for lethal combat at a moment's notice.

Knowing Bioware though, dresses won't be an option since they seem to like keeping things gender neutral... female Inquisitors will likely be wearing pants-suits.

True it looks like a uniform now that i see it, may its our casual uniform for such occasions, as mentioned before it is gender neutral so i see it being possible

They confirmed no dresses.
I kind of wish mages could just wear their regular robes to this, given that they're basically just clothes anyway...

Hope that's not Celene. That dress seems rather mundane for an Orlesian empress... and then there's the haircut.

Nah... I can't see them creating an event like this and not making our PCs wear some ridiculous Orlesian outfit...
I for one I'm happy about no fancy schmancy crappy dresses (unless they're optional).
I would love it if people commented on crappy hair though, would probably rub salt on the people disappointed with qunari hair. ![]()
They'll fall somewhere on the "Scandal Spectrum."
Human<Dwarf<Elf<Qunari
Add bonus scandal if mage.
I'd put Elves above Dwarves. Even though Elves still fall low on the social structure, according to Leliana, Elves are treated better in Orlais than in Ferelden and some even have their own servants.

I'd like something with lace. Like Third Doctor-level lace.

I disagree that Elves would cause less scandal than dwarves. Dwarves don't have anywhere near the historical baggage with Orlais that Elves do.

You sure about that?

Dwarves are more respected than any other non-human race... and that's pretty much universal in all human lands...

Dwarves are actually useful unlike elves.
If that's Celene, then that haircut is just silly and makes her look like a rebellious teen with an identity crisis.
And I find it simply scandalous that the empress of Orlais would wear such an atrocious coiffure. I mean really, what was she thinking? Just preposterous.

Or as they call them in Orlais, trendsetters.

Have we ever seen any prejudice against dwarves? I mean, dwarves aren't human nobles, so in that sense they deal with class prejudice, but otherwise seem to be treated equally.

Exactly... I can't recall a single time when a dwarf was discriminated against in DA. Not in human lands, at least... I don't see why Vivienne's party would be an exception to that.
If there's one thing elves can top dwarves at, is at being servants or slaves.

Shale notes to Oghren that the dwarves in Honnleath were more or less respected, and while Shianni's opening words to both the dwarf and human Wardens could be summed up as "You came to the wrong neighborhood," the presence of a dwarf Warden is more confusing to her than infuriating; she just confusedly asks the dwarf "Shouldn't you be in the market?"
